  Backlit screen and external power

Hi, 1.Does anyone know of a backlit and/or larger compatible LCD screen? 2.Are the problems with using a larger power supply than 500ma related only to battery overcharging and in this case can the battery be replaced with a larger amperage power (...)   Re: voice synthesis

There used to be a company that made a vowel synthesis kit, but I think they pulled it. Some science catalog company still had a bunch, back in January, and I have one (oh joy of joys). I may still have a scanned image of the schematics from it that (...) (27 years ago, 3-Jul-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Chip Puller

(...) This is good advice! Their sales number is: (800) 831-4242. I think I saw a similar device in Radio Shack the last time I was there as well. I don't know what the price was but probably comparable. (...) This is NOT good advice! :) It is my (...) (27 years ago, 3-Jul-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: voice synthesis

(...) Wow, impressive board. However, it's a bit out of my price range - I was hoping for a solution just about as cheap as the Radio Shack one used to be. Quality of speech isn't that much of a factor, I'm merely going to try and put this thing on (...) (27 years ago, 3-Jul-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Svar: Trouble shooting 7.2.2 (The digital inputs)

Hej I'm had the same problem, until i found that I loaded some programs via lib-file, not suitably for HB. (lib_r22.c) It seems you are running some programs for the 6.270. Have You setup IC correct? Try run c:\IC -config. Check out your lib-files. (...) (27 years ago, 3-Jul-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Future versions of handyboard?

(...) I suspect there probably aren't such plans. One of the problems is the amount of infra-structure needed for a successful board. Basically you need a good board and a good development environment, and you have to be as inexpensive as possible (...) (27 years ago, 3-Jul-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  lcd and ds1233-10 supplier

Just for the record, I was able to get the Hitachi LCD and the Dallas Semi. voltage monitor from Sterling Electronics. Their number is (512)836-1341. This location is in Austin, TX, but I think that they have a 1800 number, though I don't know it. (...) (27 years ago, 3-Jul-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: HB and ICC11..

Howdy- I saw your posting on the HandyBoard list. I don't know if I have any LCD code laying about or not but I'll look and see. Meanwhile, I noticed in your letter that you indicated you were using ImageCraft-C with the HandyBoard. I was wondering (...) (27 years ago, 2-Jul-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: HB and ICC11..

Hi Dale, For this to work a couple of things have to be true, first the Start_LCD, Stop_LCD, and putlcdchar() functions have to be located in the 256 bytes of on-board RAM (or in the 512byte EEPROM) The second thing is that your putchar_LCD doesn't (...)
