I was very upset to discover that LD have withdrawn 5111 worldwide, when I
recently tried to place an order for more.
Please note that this puts an end to 3rd party sensors :(
I had asked LD to be polite enough to email me a warning that they were
going to do this and they had verbally agreed to do so. They did not! I am
disappointed that they could not have extended me that simple courtesy.

I noticed that the 2002 Pitsco Dacta catalog (which dropped into my lap just last week) still has: * U779898 : 1x10' (!) lead - $13.50 * U779897 : 1x11", 1x21" (...) (22 years ago, 2-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics)

| To follow up on my initial post; I have received information from LD today which indicates that Mindstorms and other sundry 9v bits and pieces are not in immediate jeopardy. (Wipes brow...) Quite what has happened to 5111 is still a mystery. In the (...) (22 years ago, 3-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics)
