  Re: robotica on TLC

(...) I agree that fully autonomous robots wouldn't stand much of a chance. But I think it would be possible to create some rather impressive 'bots that used on board intelligence in conjunction with input from a human operator. (...) My favorite (...) (24 years ago, 6-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: I wish Lego made an "Anti-Backlash Gear"

(...) Looks like toys to me. Really incredibly cool toys! Tilman's post supporting my "Toy" claim mentioned how torsionally flimsy the technic axles are. This could be used to take the backlash out of a gear train. Pull out four 48 tooth gears, two (...) (24 years ago, 6-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Advanced Control strategies

(...) Lack of floating point support could also be a bit of a problem. You could try legOS. I think you have about 32k available for programs, and there are very few restrictions. You could also do all the hard work on a PC. It's pretty easy to (...) (24 years ago, 6-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: robotica on TLC

(...) I love this show also, they build 'robots' that have human computers, but they could be a robot easily, most of the time with a good enough software package. In the US version, there were brand new engines that had been installed on crashed (...) (24 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Speaking of motors ( was:Re: More juice out of the standard motors.)

Hope this is not off-topic, but I have a 8735 motor. The problem is that in runs for a little while (on full juice from the battery box), but then stops. It is a new motor, but when I try turn the stem by hand, I couldn't (without pliers). Is the (...) (24 years ago, 6-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Definately agree on LegOS, my final year Computer Science dissertation was on autonmous learning on an RCX with genetic programming, I used LegOS 2.5, great stuff full C++ if you can do it in ansi you can do it here...   New Outdoor Robot Photos

I took some new photos of a couple of my robots, and they came out pretty good so I thought I'd share them.   calculating sensor resistance (Ohm's Law)

Re: calculating sensor resistance (Ohm's Law)

hi Lauren, you're quiet right, the inside of the RCX (in touch-sensor mode) is ok, and Ohm's law is also. So the problem lies probably in the sensor used.   program wont stop running

O.k., I've never had this happen before, and don't know why it's doing it now.
