  Re: Searching for alternatives

(...) Actually, the "Windows® CE eMbedded Visual Tools 3.0" cost $7.50 direct from Microsoft and let you develop in Visual Basic and C++. The VB is a cut down version, more like VB Script, but will drive the serial port. I have not tried the C++ as (...) (24 years ago, 7-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Seems to work : ) I just signed up and purchased one w/ a credit card. BTW, I didn't notice any reference to just how long it will take to get my VR3D.   OmniRemote and Mindstorms Update

I had lunch with Charlie today, and we discussed the Mindstorms IR on pilot issue somewhat. First of all; Someone did send him an email, and he's sorry he hasn't gotten anywhere useful with a reply. He's been fairly busy. Lego actually contacted him (...) (24 years ago, 7-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Most of what has been discussed has been "How to make Palms or Agendas communicate using IR with 1 or more RCX bricks." I also considered for a while how to do as you say and have the PDA itself power the robot, but if you do so, you'll need a (...) (24 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Pneumatic tubing...

(...) Are you attempting the NQC 'port' to the agenda? Please make sure you let us all know how it's going. Here's the four main things I think we all want: 1. Does anybody know if the developer edition Agenda comes with any method to coneect to a PC? (Serial cable/cradle) Or do these need to be bought separately? Thanks, Henry Hallam (24 years ago, 6-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: robolab/rcx/scout/send mail command

The send mail/receive mail commands in ROBOLAB are like the SendPBMessage in the OCX (Message in NQC?).   Re: Gearing down a lego motor

I think a worm gear and a 40-tooth gear worked for me. A string was fixed above, and wound around the axle connected to the 40-tooth gear. This wasn't fast though, more like a slow climb.
