  C++

Are there any proper C++ libraries for use with the RCX? It's just that I've been using it Uni heaps, so I'm kinda getting into it, AND I just got the windows GUI C++ libraries with a text book, so I was interested in writing like a remote control (...)   Not Quite MindFest - NJRC '99 in SG-land

After drooling at all those wonderful pictures and reports on the recent MindFest, I just had to post some pics of the National Junior Robotics Competition (NJRC) which was held here in SG-land on 9 & 10 Sep 99 at (URL) event was organised in (...) (26 years ago, 4-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: C++

Tony- I'm not sure what exactly you mean. If you mean libraries for the PC, to use to communicate with the software on the lego, well, I've got no clue. On the other hand, if you want to write programs in C++ (or the very closely related C) for the (...) (26 years ago, 4-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Palm Pilot to RCX remote controller

(...) I am working on a program for the Palm OS that will provide remote control of the RCX and the Scout. As to not duplicate the efforts of others, my program will use the internal IR port of the PalmIII series and above. The focus of this program (...) (26 years ago, 4-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  New pbForth 1.1.0

Finally, the pesky stack bug and the goofy double echo byte problem has been fixed. Thanks to Sergey Udovenko I have also integrated a little "splash screen" on the LCD that lets you know pbForth is up and running. (URL) Will get you there. Please (...)   Re: Lego Protocol Patent

(...) I agree. But I'm pretty sure that a patent only prevents someone else from doing everything mentioned in _all_ of the claims put together. For example, if I were granted a patent containing two claims: 1. Walking 2. Chewing gum. ...then I (...) (26 years ago, 4-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: RCX-enhanced egcs

  rcx tools setup

I have following problem with setting up the rcx tools (the old ones, distributed with legOS-0.1.7): I set up the Makefile.common to properly point to my paths: TOOLPREFIX=/home/eri...tachi-hms- LEGOS_ROOT=/home/eri...gOS-0.1.7/ when I run make I (...)   Mindstorms in Germany

Hallo all around, there is a great pricing for Mindstorms at Toys"r"us this week. I got my package with the german version 1.5 for 399 DM. The price is now 50 DM under the normal price they had last week. I don't know how long they will have this (...) (26 years ago, 4-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: New pbForth 1.1.0

Hi Ralph, Nice to see a new release! Only question, why did you remove sources from the package? Would be really nice if you can publish the sources too. Sergey Udovenko (26 years ago, 4-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

  Re: Palm Pilot to RCX remote controller

  Re: C++

Tony, If you want to write in C++ to control the RCX from your computer you have two options. You can call the spirit.ocx from C++ just like visual basic does. Or you can write the commands directly to the serial port. It sounds like you are just (...) (26 years ago, 4-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Palm Pilot to RCX remote controller

Hi Mike, I have found that the range on the PalmIIIx to the RCX is quite useable. In medium to low light levels the RCX will respond consistently up to 20 feet away. When I started working on the Palm Remote program I had no idea you were doing the (...) (26 years ago, 4-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)
