If I had known you were working on this too, I probably wouldn't have
started my program: http://www.advancenet.net/~kory/pilot/
I have an older Palm without the IR but I had heard bad things about the
range of the IR for practical remote control.
Do you have the IR working and how well is it working for you? Are you able
to receive as well as send IR to and from the RCX? How far away from the
RCX can you get? If it works well, I imagine most people would prefer to use
the built in IR since I imagine most people have a Palm III or better.
As I'm not sure it makes sense to have two of these sort of programs in
development, I'll stop working on mine for a while and wait to see what
you've created.

| Hi Mike, I have found that the range on the PalmIIIx to the RCX is quite useable. In medium to low light levels the RCX will respond consistently up to 20 feet away. When I started working on the Palm Remote program I had no idea you were doing the (...) (25 years ago, 4-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)
