I think it's fine that way, for a personal page. However, it maybe ought to
be more consistent from section to section...

How so?  Graphical layout? Nav button placement?

Anyways...I'm still trying to get over someone saying my work sucks.

I think people are not understanding what you are going for in design. Me, I
like it, I like it a lot!

I feel you are consistent in the inconsistencies. The nav buttons are always
together in the same way but you layout each page differently. That kinda thing
I like when it is thoughtfully designed like you have done here.
