  Re: Meeting time and particulars...

(...) Yes, I've been there, and based the 30" size recommendations on the dimensions you have for 32x32 stud baseplates. rtlToronto uses 30" and commented that baseplates fit "just fine." We'll have to convince ourselves either way, methinks. (...) (...) (22 years ago, 22-May-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny)

  Re: Meeting time and particulars...

(...) Don't like holidays with the folks or just the travel mess? :) (...) Sorry to split hairs, but I don't want you to miss out, after all of this effort to come, Wayne. Saturday is the 25th, not Sunday. I imagine it was a typo, but I wanted to (...) (22 years ago, 22-May-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny)

  Re: Meeting time and particulars...

After some notice that this weekend is Memorial Day Weekend I decided that to avoid any Imperial Entanglements it would be in my best interest NOT to go home. Looks like I will be there SUN. I will bring all MY TRACKS 1 or two other things. I want (...) (22 years ago, 22-May-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny)

(...) Roger Wilco. I thought exactly the same thing when Wayne told us he was not coming. I will bring what I have which ain't much but should give us a layout good enough for a few short hours. ____ (22 years ago, 21-May-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny)

  Re: Meeting time and particulars...

I guess no one was at my website of Projects and supplies???? I have ALL useful Demensions on the top of the page...? (URL) at this point it doesn't matter, I will HAVE to make a custom table for the roundhouse... So as long as theres height (...) (22 years ago, 21-May-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny)

  Re: Meeting time and particulars...

(...) The middle tables are NOT compatible with baseplate dimensions, strictly speaking--they would have to be 30 1/4" X 60 1/2" in order to fit 3x6 road plates, according to PNLTC's table plan. I haven't tried measuring baseplates myself, and this (...) (22 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny)

  Re: Meeting time and particulars...

Kevin et All, Everyone may want to bring some 9v track, as I've got a limited amount and Wayne (resident track-hog :) won't be here. (...) Great, the more idea mills the better! (...) I can see we may have some heated debate here :) (...) See the (...) (22 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny)

In lugnet.org.us.lucny, Wayne Sardullo writes: <snip> (...) I think the 4'x4' size is way too big. We could get more use out of smaller modules connected to gether to make large layouts. Smaller modules fit in smaller cars. Plywood may be better (...) (22 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny)

  Re: Meeting time and particulars...

DOH, I made a boo boo, there is a 98% chance that I will miss this. My father goes in for hand surgery on Tues and I told him I who go home for a few days and take care of some yard work while his down and out. On the other hand, I have total faith (...)   Re: Meeting time and particulars...

Thanks for reminding us all. I have spoken by phone to Peter Jarvis and emailed him the driving directions. Unless either of us have last minute conflicts, we will both be there. I will plan for arriving around 12 noon. Dunno what I will bring, but (...) (22 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny)

  Meeting time and particulars...

Hey All, The 25th is fast approaching, so I figured I'd post. The meeting's going to have to be at my house, as the church a) needs groups to have insurance just as the mall does and b) is already taken on the 25th. Anyways, here's directions to my (...)   Re: MOC pics

(...) Congrats Alan! (...) I think this would make a great little church for Lucnyville. I really like the bell tower. (...) Just the other day I was thinking about trying to figure out how to create a barn. Then today you posted a very nifty barn. (...) (22 years ago, 19-May-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny)

  MOC pics

Hi! I have created my very first Brickshelf gallery and uploaded some MOC pics. Comments and critiques are of course most welcome.   Re: Advanced Design Train Roundhouse

(...) It depends. Does Via count as a class 1 line? How about CP? Victoria still has its roundhouse, used for the Budd cars. (which, btw, will be around until at least the 15th of june...its a on-again, off-again issue here, the E&N is not going to (...) (22 years ago, 19-May-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Advanced Design Train Roundhouse

(...) That's true. I'd recommend 48 if LUCNY had real estate right now to display Wayne's design, but we don't. I think starting with a 32 would be prototypical and fit our table design. (...) Yes, that's also true. Steamtown's table is large, but (...) (22 years ago, 17-May-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Advanced Design Train Roundhouse

(...) I would go 48 if I could. But I should hasten to point out that it is prototypical for engines not to fit on the turntable in US practice. It happened fairly frequently. The most common solution was to service the engine in the stall that was (...) (22 years ago, 17-May-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Advanced Design Train Roundhouse

(...) Thanks for sharing these ideas: I have had the motor outside the turntable and had a long connecting axle hidden underneath the turntables visible floor. But in the end this lead to my 5 bricks high solution, that I dislike. In a beta-version (...) (22 years ago, 17-May-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny, lugnet.trains)
