  Re: Battery voltage

You know, after the first time I read through the SDK for 2.0, I always wanted to try sending immediate commands from the RCX to another one. that, I suspect, I can do with the standard firmware and NQC (I'll have to try). But to get information (...) (19 years ago, 8-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: Battery voltage

(...) There are two places you could have downloaded the BrickOS stuff from. 1) The NQC site, which has everything (like the kernal) pre-built. 2) The BrickOS site, where YOU need to build everything. If you did #1, it may be hard for you to rebuild (...) (19 years ago, 8-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: Battery voltage

(...) your right. It is something mainly geared to the rcx gear heads. I'm sure Calum would LOVE IT. we all know how he HATES power cords. (grin) (...) wait.... please explain. are you saying i will need to D/L the BrickOS firmware?? OK. so far so (...) (19 years ago, 8-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: Battery voltage

(...) I don't have a problem doing that, however, I suspect very few people will find it useful. First, most people who understand how to use the code, won't have a use for it. (don't need to talk to RCXs with standard firmware) Second, most people (...) (19 years ago, 8-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: Battery voltage

(...) Hi Steve. WoW, this sounds interesting. Will you be making the code available? I'd love to be able to do the same sort of thing, but my programming skills are laking. Thanks. Chris (19 years ago, 8-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Battery voltage

So, I finally managed to do something that's been bugging me for a year. When we were at the state FLL tournament last year, there were several times when we had to check the batteries, to see if they were still good. To do that, Greg would take the (...) (...) Brian, I put this in my Brickshelf account, it's a large file, but should help you to understand the designated area. (URL) Jeramy -IndyLUG- (19 years ago, 7-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc, FTX)

  Re: Over-the-train GBC

(...) I'm still trying to think up a good one - in other words, one that really looks like it "belongs" in a train layout. (...) First, are we limiting to a Type 1b as we called it, i.e. - a Type 1b module occupies a 32x32 baseplate, not more? What (...) (19 years ago, 7-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Over-the-train GBC

Ok, so John and I have been talking about the GBC modules we're building for the IndyLUG layout in October. We've both had ideas for GBC modules that move balls over the train track. Before we each wonder off in our own directions, I'd like to (...) (19 years ago, 7-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: LafLRC @ IndyLUG

(...) Ok, I signed up for a pretty small area, which is 2x6 baseplates, or 64x192 studs. There's an adjacent open area that we can expand into, if needed. The train wonders into other areas, but I've really signed up for a single row of six modules (...) (19 years ago, 1-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: NEIRG vs Brickfest

(...) It's allowed, it just hasn't been *demonstrated* yet... (...) No no, making balls fly through the air or even disappear is very good. It's making it happen consistantly, for hours on end, in exactly the way you want it to, that's tough ;-). (19 years ago, 30-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: LafLRC @ IndyLUG

(...) The show is in Indy on Oct 15-16. I think it is being put on by someone else. (the great train expo) (URL) got my 10x10 module working pretty well. It doesn't fit the above criteria, but I like it. Other suggestions for these modules: Higher (...) (19 years ago, 30-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: NEIRG vs Brickfest

(...) 100% reliability??? I didnt' think that was allowed in GBC modules. I thought if it didn't drop, fling, or magically make one disappear every once in a while it wasn't a real GBC module :) (19 years ago, 26-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: LafLRC @ IndyLUG

(...) That sounds like fun. I'm assuming the show in question would be the one in Ft. Wayne near the end of October, right? When do you need to know? John (19 years ago, 26-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  LafLRC @ IndyLUG

Anyone want to contribute Type 1b GBC modules to an IndyLUG train layout at the GATS (Great American Train Show) in October? Modules should be (A) Super Reliable (B) not super loud (C) 32x32, or 32x(32n) (D) decorated, to look nice in a mini-fig (...) (19 years ago, 25-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)
