Re: This place is dead - where are all the cool posts?

(...) I think you killed ALL of Lugnet: (URL) been talking about tons of stuff at our meetings. The next month will be very busy. I'll be posting something soon. Steve (18 years ago, 5-Apr-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

This place is dead - where are all the cool posts?

Hello? anyone here? anyone? Buller? Buller? Where is everyone? Chris Proud LAFLRC- member # 42 1/2 (18 years ago, 5-Apr-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: Tic Tac Toe Results

(...) So to clarify, if the games were a draw and no touches were needed, the winner was the one with the lowest time. But if even one touch was needed, a slower robot that was better at block placement would win (because it didn't need a "touch"), (...) (18 years ago, 20-Mar-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Tic Tac Toe Results

So, we've been playing with Tic Tac Toe for a couple months. Of course, at the same time, several of us have been working on other stuff, as well. We finally had our Tic Tac Toe event yesterday. It was a very cooperative event. Every robot played (...) (18 years ago, 20-Mar-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: 3T

(...) well, I sit corrected. I ran this VERY CRUDE program, and it would seem that a STOP TASK should stop the task mid task. feel free to mess with var x, to see it the resuts change. program generic { var a = 0 var b = 0 var c = 0 var d = 0 var e (...) (...) as a mindscript guy, i cant say i've had this problem. i ~think~ the STOP TASK command stops the task at the END of that task. not mid task when the STOP was called. In lugnet.org.us.laflrc, Steve Hassenplug wrote: <snip> (...) Ok, that makes some sense, thank you very much. I hate the thought of nesting that many more if statements, but that does appear to be the best way to solve the problem. Thanks John (18 years ago, 3-Mar-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: 3T

(...) Actually, John, I think I may be able to explain the problem. You have two tasks running at the same time. For the most part, the processor will switch between the main task, and the scan tast. So, the order of execution would be something (...) (18 years ago, 3-Mar-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: 3T

I'm not sure about the RCX, but with some languages, things like events, or other tasks, will not start executing until the current task gives up the processor.   Re: 3T

(...) I ran mine last night at a "family science night" for a school. Big hit, although I *absolutely* need error checking in my code (playing against a robot is easy - playing against a 5-year-old, with a couple of 4-year-olds constantly hitting (...)   3T

Well, I've had some time on my hands, and being totally unhappy with my 3T robot I decided a re-build was in order. Probably an 85% - 90% rebuild. About the only thing that wasn't touched was my cube magazine & the dropper mechanism. Everything else (...) (18 years ago, 3-Mar-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: NEIRG

(...) I sent in entries for John, Steve, Brian, and Kerby last night. Between the 5 of us I think there are 15 robots for the competition...not to mention the 3T display.   NEIRG

Re: GBC at Indy Children's Expo

Re: GBC at Indy Children's Expo

(...) How did the meeting go? Was the lack of enthusiasm due to poor showing for the 3T robots, or folks not wanting to do the 2nd drive right after NEIRG? I figured I'd bring my 3T robot to NEIRG as a demo anyway. (...) Yeah, I wish my limiting (...) (18 years ago, 6-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

(...) I didn't think we were doing a GBC @ the Children's Expo.   Re: broken RCX

Well, after a little looking around on Lugnet & googling "RCX internals" I found that one problem when people take apart RCXs is that a small surface mount fuse on the board is blown. After poking around with my el-cheapo test light, I found that (...) (18 years ago, 5-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)
