  Re: Over-the-train GBC

(...) Brian, I put this in my Brickshelf account, it's a large file, but should help you to understand the designated area. (URL) Jeramy -IndyLUG- (19 years ago, 7-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc, FTX)

  Re: Over-the-train GBC

(...) This won't work with current train loading & unloading stations. The current stations have the front of the track 32 studs from the front of the module output (or input). (...) Here's a small picture from the layout. (URL) "F" is the current (...) (19 years ago, 7-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: Over-the-train GBC

(...) I'm still trying to think up a good one - in other words, one that really looks like it "belongs" in a train layout. (...) First, are we limiting to a Type 1b as we called it, i.e. - a Type 1b module occupies a 32x32 baseplate, not more? What (...) (19 years ago, 7-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Over-the-train GBC

Ok, so John and I have been talking about the GBC modules we're building for the IndyLUG layout in October. We've both had ideas for GBC modules that move balls over the train track. Before we each wonder off in our own directions, I'd like to (...) (19 years ago, 7-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: LafLRC @ IndyLUG

(...) Ok, I signed up for a pretty small area, which is 2x6 baseplates, or 64x192 studs. There's an adjacent open area that we can expand into, if needed. The train wonders into other areas, but I've really signed up for a single row of six modules (...) (19 years ago, 1-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: NEIRG vs Brickfest

(...) It's allowed, it just hasn't been *demonstrated* yet... (...) No no, making balls fly through the air or even disappear is very good. It's making it happen consistantly, for hours on end, in exactly the way you want it to, that's tough ;-). (19 years ago, 30-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: LafLRC @ IndyLUG

(...) The show is in Indy on Oct 15-16. I think it is being put on by someone else. (the great train expo) (URL) got my 10x10 module working pretty well. It doesn't fit the above criteria, but I like it. Other suggestions for these modules: Higher (...) (19 years ago, 30-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: NEIRG vs Brickfest

(...) 100% reliability??? I didnt' think that was allowed in GBC modules. I thought if it didn't drop, fling, or magically make one disappear every once in a while it wasn't a real GBC module :) (19 years ago, 26-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: LafLRC @ IndyLUG

(...) That sounds like fun. I'm assuming the show in question would be the one in Ft. Wayne near the end of October, right? When do you need to know? John (19 years ago, 26-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: LafLRC @ IndyLUG

(...) I'M SORRY, WHAT DID YOU SAY? I CAN'T HEAR YOU, BECAUSE I STILL HAVE THIS RINGING IN MY EAR FROM BRICKFEST... :) (19 years ago, 29-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: LafLRC @ IndyLUG

(...) Actually I'm curious as to what would happen if you scrapped criteria B. ;-P David Gregory (19 years ago, 29-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  LafLRC @ IndyLUG

Anyone want to contribute Type 1b GBC modules to an IndyLUG train layout at the GATS (Great American Train Show) in October? Modules should be (A) Super Reliable (B) not super loud (C) 32x32, or 32x(32n) (D) decorated, to look nice in a mini-fig (...) (19 years ago, 25-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

From www.legofan.org: --- Re: Extremely new Mindstorms user The answer is clear, young padawan. Search your feelings, and feel the force flowing.....you start to see it.....focus!......you see a ball....no a soccer ball. It appears to be hundreds of (...)   Re: NEIRG vs Brickfest

(...) Steve, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't *I* say that once upon a time as well? (...) If you mean the polarity switch assemblies that both detect the hoppers and allow power to the stations, those are PSA's - come on, keep up with all the (...)   Re: NEIRG vs Brickfest

(...) Geez, you know, you guys should really move on. I mean, 100% reliability... *still* working on the GBC... Excuse me, I have to go back to working on my forklift now. (19 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: NEIRG vs Brickfest

(...) That's OK. I've spent the last week trying to build a 10x10 module that won't jam or clog. The big problem is that I want it to be perfect... Steve (19 years ago, 23-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

Re: The Great Ball Contraption at xxxx

With First Lego League starting in September, the main focus of LafLRC will be on that. However, with most of us being unable to participate, there will still be some side projects/events going on. -- Here's some upcoming events: October 15&16 - (...)   Re: NEIRG vs Brickfest

(...) 1) I NEVER said I was building a train. Just a pair of stations. 2) I said I need to borrow a car and a couple pieces of straight track to confirm the stations work. 3) I am wondering how we use the whole 3-way polarity switch contraption (...)   Re: NEIRG vs Brickfest

(...) The attendance for the summer games are usually lower than the winter games. But, only two LEGO entries? Well, hopefully, things will be bigger in Feb. I'm curious how the maze event did. (...)   NEIRG vs Brickfest

Even though Brickfest won out over NEIRG (Northeast Indiana Robot Games) for my attendance on August 13, I was still disappointed to miss one of the two annual Lego robotic contests here in Fort Wayne. I think NEIRG missed us too...I exchanged email (...) (19 years ago, 23-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)
