  Re: Lego camp

So do we get to attend this camp, or do we have to teach it? ; ) (21 years ago, 8-Nov-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  Re: Lego camp

(...) Another option is corporate sponsorship. A fellow teacher brought a "LEGO robotics for educators" class to my attention last summer, over in Ft Wayne. Each teacher got to take home a RIS 2.0 kit, donated via a local company. Around Indy, and (...) (21 years ago, 7-Nov-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  Re: Lego camp

Depending on the number of kids (if they are relatively few) we could use the club bricks. where is the camp? are we to designate a site? It sounds like a great idea and a chance for the non-train heads to show off their skills. a robotics section, (...) (21 years ago, 7-Nov-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  Lego camp

I got this email and I'll just let it and my reply speak for itself: I'll bring this up to the group to see and see what discussion takes place. Off the top of my head, I think the bricks would be cost prohibitive. If the kids brought their own, you (...) (21 years ago, 7-Nov-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  Re: bylaws

(...) These are very good and i believe we have discussed all of these and we need to make final decisions at the next meeting. We can proably come up with more of these is we think about it. mark (21 years ago, 29-Oct-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  Re: private forum

You could also try SmartGroups at (URL) also free, has most if not all the features of Yahoo!, and you don't need a seperate ID. (I currently host three groups over at Smartgroups, see (URL) as an example) Good Luck! -HRH (21 years ago, 28-Oct-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  Re: private forum

I know that a few years ago, Yahoo aquired Geocities. I have a Geocities account, so will that ID work in the Yahoo thing? Another thing we might try is as ancient tradition for keeping track of people that my college friends and I used to use: (...) (21 years ago, 28-Oct-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  Re: private forum

(...) Just as a note, this (using Yahoo groups, or, less commonly, another mailing list provider) is a common, but not universal, practice among LEGO clubs. Some clubs even have multiple mailing lists, with varying levels of privacy. The model of (...) (21 years ago, 28-Oct-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug, lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.org)

(...) Yes. This was done by one of our newest guys, Chayme Higgins. (...) That one is mine. It spans an 8 base plate gap in our layout (our tables are 4 x 8 baseplates). IndyLUGgers, (I know many of you are burnt out from your hare's race to GATS, but since I'm slow as a turtle, I'll just keep on posting as things come to me.)   bylaws

Bylaws? We don't need no stinkin' bylaws! Well, we could get along without them, but then we'd keep forgetting our lessons learned and our past decisions and either re-invent things or make costly mistakes. Basically, any policy decisions should be (...) (21 years ago, 26-Oct-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

I've missed helping with a few shows with BayLTC this year, due to work, and my summer vacation. (As I type, I'm at work, in Tel Aviv, after a 13-hour day...)
