Re: Money - budget for train show stuff - sponsorship

(...) I think you're right - it looks fine how it is. There may also be Seattle people at this show who might be interested in the PNLTC itself.   I'm always asking questions regarding the layout...

Got some more questions/comments... -Any particular reason why the airport & monorail station baseplates are blue (looking at v-d0017k.jpg)? -Do we have enough baseplates of the required size, shape, colour? I've got some 16x32 blue and some odd (...) (24 years ago, 31-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Money - budget for train show stuff - sponsorship

(...) I don't think we should innundate people with too much at once. Lugnet is a portal to all the various fan oriented sites, and shop at home can answer the rest of the questions, so my opinion is to just include those two. Of course, we'd put (...)   Re: Money - budget for train show stuff - sponsorship

(...) Yes, after I posted this, I found an email addy for Steve. Although, upon reflection, it would be cool to just leave it as is, which lets people know that there are clubs like this all over the place. What do you think? The graphic (and .ppt (...)   Re: T-Shirts?

(...) It's better than I expected, but it is still an iron on. I actually don't have any of my own. I've done them for gifts, but I've never had any complaints. Actually, the shirt is washed immediately after transferring it, as part of the process, (...) (24 years ago, 31-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Money - budget for train show stuff - sponsorship

(...) Very likely. I was thinking it would take up an inch or two depth of our 6' but the feet would stick out further than that. Also, it's one more thing to make... (...) How about outher train specific sites like Matt Bates Train Depot (now at (...) (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: T-Shirts?

(...) How do they wash? What's the longevity of the iron on? Dean -- Coin-Op's For Sale!: (URL) Lego Workshop: (URL) Lego Club: (URL) (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Money - budget for train show stuff - sponsorship

(...) I should think you'll need to ask the PNLTC guys for this - Steve Barile probably if he wrote it. Kevin ---...--- Personal Lego Web page: (URL) Park: Limited edition kit (URL) Kits & Custom Lego models: (URL) (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: T-Shirts?

(...) Nice! A t-shirt for each of us who staffs the layout would be excellent - I was thinking of big pin-on buttons but a t-shirt would be much better. Or were you thinking of selling them? I suspect we can't sell anything since we are a non-vendor (...) (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Money - budget for train show stuff - sponsorship

(...) I've dl'ed this (the powerpoint file) from Brickshelf. Larry, if you are reading this, would it be OK if we replaced the PNLTC logo with our own? Robin (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Money - budget for train show stuff - sponsorship

(...) I'm tossing around the idea of doing something like this with the sign. Kinda cool to have a sign like that on the wall! (...) I think you should definitely email your list, and of course all the members. The worst that happens is that they (...) (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Money - budget for train show stuff - sponsorship

(...) Hand out Steve Barile's handout which shows the train specific lego parts. Only run a few off, put one in plastic and pin it to the skirting, then hand the rest out to the "serious" people who pass your initial screen ++Lar (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  T-Shirts?

Just a thought. I've done a few of these at home, using good quality T's, an ink jet printer, and that T-shirt iron on transfer paper you can buy. The results are quite good. It would be fairly easy to print up a few with the logo, etc. Cost would (...) (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Info from Train SHow organisers

(...) I think we should be as prepared as possible for a big surprise when we arrive. At the very least, we should have table skirting around the entire table layout, not just the "front". We should also build with the possibility of 360 degree (...) (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Money - budget for train show stuff - sponsorship

(...) A great idea, but I don't think we have room for it. My guess is that any space beyond our 16' x 6' is allocated for aisles and walkways, etc. Perhaps instead, we should allocate a corner of the layout for a small selection of lego train boxes (...)   Re: Logo's Fliers and papers and CONTACT

(...) Got it. Thanks. I'll work on it. (...) I'd recommend not having a street address. A post office box would be OK, however. A phone number is slightly less intrusive than a street address, especially a mobile one, since it's harder to track. (...) (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Proposed building areas - land grab time!!

(...) By the time it gets to your mountain, the monorail track has jumped up another level and is at 22 bricks above ground level. You can just barely see on the .jpg or .gif file (I recommend printing the latest version out as big as you can get it (...) (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Proposed building areas - land grab time!!

(...) Yes you're right - I just downloaded the latest jpg of the layout. I will start building on Monday! (This is gonna be fun...) (...) Oh yeah... the monorail track will be 12 bricks off the ground? What about the train track in the mountain (...) (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Proposed building areas - land grab time!!

(...) The layout pictures are pretty accurate as to where the track goes. But if you make your ledge for the track, a couple studs wider then the actual track, then we'll have some wiggle room. I'm having the same interesting time with the double (...) (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Proposed building areas - land grab time!!

(...) I've written to Robin privately, asking where he lives. Hopefully he can lend me a few pieces of track so I can see how to fit them in (I've never seen a piece of track in person!). Also, how will I know WHERE to put the track? (i.e. top of (...) (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)
