Re: Lots of Sales on this week!!!

(...) I grabbed a MTT and 2 x 5533 Red Fury from Superstore. As well as 2 X-Wings from Zellers (using an OLD raincheck). I'm VERY tempted to get more. I wonder what Kevin got...? :) *sigh* Too many sales, too little money... Bryan (24 years ago, 26-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Lots of Sales on this week!!!

(...) Picked up an A-Wing, MTT, and one of those little cheesy Arctic double bonus packs (#6569). Had to have a polar bear. I'll probably grab one of the Zeller's promo packs as well, even though I've already got all the sets several times over ... (...) (24 years ago, 26-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Lots of Sales on this week!!!

(...) Don't forget the Zeller's promo pack... Anakin's Podracer, Droid Fighter, and Jedi Duel all for the low, low price of $16.99!!!! The Podracer set alone retails for $18.99 at Zellers!!!!   Possible Bargain?

I was at the Guildford mall Bay store this afternoon, and found a previously opened Spider Slayer technic set (#3038). I did a quick check, and the motor and connecting wire is still there. I didn't check for the figures, but it looked as though a (...) (24 years ago, 26-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc, lugnet.loc.ca.bc.van)

Re: Check out the NALUG layout at the Edmonton show

(...) Hey, cool. If you've got spare time when you're in town, let us know - we're always up to meeting new AFOL's. (...) Hmm... Well, labeling the bottom of baseplates was a Good Thing. Everyone got their own baseplates back with minimal confusion. (...) (24 years ago, 25-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Check out the NALUG layout at the Edmonton show

Thanks James, for the personal reply! As you probably know from the other posts in .org.ca.vlc, we're going through all of this for the first time right now, so we'll all probably have a few questions for you and your fellow NALUG'ers. As it was, I (...) (24 years ago, 25-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Check out the NALUG layout at the Edmonton show

(...) Thanks! :) I'll try to give some insight on your comments... (...) Those were all other exhibitors and show staff. The setup was on Friday, and the show wasn't open to the public until Saturday morning. (...) No sponsorship, official or (...) (24 years ago, 25-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Let's meet tonight or tomorrow

OK, let's do this. From the posts here, my guess is that a prospective meeting will include Kevin, Dean, perhaps Alex, and myself. I'm unsure about Bryan and Claus has quite a drive so he's unlikely. If it's really just the three or four of us (...) (24 years ago, 25-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Check out the NALUG layout at the Edmonton show

(...) Looks like they had a lot of fun! Lots and lots of work, and it shows. A few things I noticed that we could talk about when we meet (see my other post today). They're in no particular order, just the order they occurred to me. - They were (...) (24 years ago, 25-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Check out the NALUG layout at the Edmonton show

For anyone who missed it, pics of the Northern Alberta Lego Users Group layout at the Edmonton Trains 2000 show are up at (URL) Brown) and (URL) Maynes) They didn't have a big layout, especially, nor is it as polished as a PNLTC or GMLTC (...) (24 years ago, 25-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Possible November 12 train show participation

(...) Hmm, you're right. I forgot about the water/dock parts. :) I've got 6542 Launch and Load Seaport!! (If we need it) (...) One question: how big of a castle? (...) Hm, you're right again. I don't know how many original Lego sets we should (...) (24 years ago, 23-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Possible November 12 train show participation

Here's my 2¢... 1. I'd love to build something, but my LEGO is in piles... one unwashed, one clean, one partially sorted. That which isn't in piles is partially sorted into ziplocks and other containers. Either way, it's not "build-able" for me. The (...) (24 years ago, 23-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Possible November 12 train show participation

(...) I think we should size it by what we can fill, rather than the other way around. Actually when you start throwing together monorail track, train track AND a dock with boats, space gets eaten up rather fast. (...) I think we could use the idea (...)
