That's almost exactly what we want to do, except the inside the pipe part.
Originally our plan was to use the inside of the pipe. But this sort of
necessitates 4 or 6 inch diam pipe and needs to be transparent for people to
enjoy the show--otherwise, it disappears into the start, you don't see
anything for five minutes and appears out the end-kind of boring.
The biggest problem is visible pipe is expensive.
