this just came in from Steve, and seems like a good compromise...

other ideas floating about.

Over all, any time limit changes should only affect a small part of
programming.  not a major redesign of your robot.

Chris,

Here's my thoughts.

One minute is not much time.  If two evenly matched robots are in a
pushing contest, cutting the time to 60 seconds may cut out the best
part of the event.

How about this for a big last minute rule change:
If there is a no challenge for the top at 1 minute, it will end.
Otherwise, it will continue for a second minute.
If there is a no challenge for the top at 2 minutes, it will end.
Otherwise, it will continue for a third minute.
The match will end after 3 minutes.

That actually will eliminate the boaring quick robot plan...

I'm in favor or that.

I don't like the 1 minute thing, but I guess it's OK.

I built a second robot, yesterday.  I'll have two this weekend.

OK, it was a good weekend for me (robot building wise) for the first time ever i built a robot, THEN I built a "fake" test robot that is nothing more then 4 motors and 4 wheels and a bulldozer blade. designed to test the weak points of my robot. As (...) (22 years ago, 10-Mar-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
