  Re: Freight Locomotive

(...) You know what you're doing??? You're soooo enticing me to cave in and spend some money that would otherwise be allocated to technic and mindstorms and go out and start in on this train thing!!! That's a wonderful engine. Though, to be sure, it (...) (23 years ago, 1-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Freight Locomotive

I built a freight engine last night, as I figured we needed something to take all of those flatcars full of containers around: (URL) I can't stop buiding train stuff. Calum (23 years ago, 1-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: FT 4.5V technic motor

(...) Yes, within reason. Ie, if you show up with 15 ft of hose, we'll know it wasn't from a Lego set. Similarily if you show up with a giant fan belt, it probably wasn't a Lego rubber band. Unlike other organizations, we're pretty flexible. (...) (...) (23 years ago, 1-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: FT 4.5V technic motor

(...) Yes, that's what I'm proposing. Do you have 4.5V cables etc? I'll bring said motor to next dinner if I can remember after woozily returning home. Calum (23 years ago, 1-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: FT 4.5V technic motor

(...) K, here's a question somewhat related... rtlToronto 'bot rules say that LEGO bricks cannot be modified in any way. But we all accept that we can cut pneumatic hose for our 'bots (if used) and other things like that. Those old 4.5 v motors use (...) (23 years ago, 1-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: FT 4.5V technic motor

(...) I'm not entirely sure what you're proposing - I read this as saying you already have a 4.5V motor, but want a 9V on instead. If this is the case, I'll trade you one. I have 12 of the 9V geared motors, but none of the 4.5V variety. Matthias (...) (23 years ago, 30-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Desperately Seeking 2x2 Black Smooth Tiles!

(...) I searched Brickbay, there are tons of both the 2x2's and 1x8's there. I live close to legoland, and they sell them there bulk, but they were cleaned out of them last weekend - I need to go back this week to pick up some stuff for others, I (...)   Re: Desperately Seeking 2x2 Black Smooth Tiles!

(...) Yeah, I don't see you building Club Car clones or GP40X's. Go start or I'll get all Pat Morita on you... :) (...) Actually, I never gave Jeff his black blocks back. I have all 30 of them. Of course, the priority is train. Now go order some (...) (23 years ago, 30-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Desperately Seeking 2x2 Black Smooth Tiles!

IF it helps at all, you don't need to use 2x2 tiles. you are free to use any tile that covers the 4x4 area. many of my black blocks are 4 - 1x4's or a combination of 1x4 and 2x2. As well, if you can build a basic colour block either white or black, (...) (23 years ago, 30-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Desperately Seeking 2x2 Black Smooth Tiles!

Hi Sorry I missed the last dinner - I was out of town on business. I'm in the process of building test blocks for the upcoming competition. Unfortunately Lego Shop At Home is backordered on the 2x2 Black Smooth Tiles until June 10 - the day after (...) (23 years ago, 30-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Train1 Reversing loop

Thanks Matthias, for your involved answer! Let's see: I've got the reversing loop working now, but there's still a question of what "Main" means in terms of "main line"...
