IF it helps at all, you don't need to use 2x2 tiles. you are free to use
any tile that covers the 4x4 area. many of my black blocks are 4 -
1x4's or a combination of 1x4 and 2x2.
As well, if you can build a basic colour block either white or black,
you can tile it with ANY colour TILE and when you go to test, just have
the block face bad tile colour side down.
As well, I've decided that I need to re-paint the board. the grey
colour is just to darn close to white in the light meter readings.
I'll post results when I paint the board and get off my lazy butt.
Also, this might be a good forum to publicly ask Jeff E. to see if he
can supply (yet again) enuff black and white blocks for the event. my
feeling is that if you don't have enuff white 2x4 bricks to make the
blocks then to heck with the train event. Block's are WAY more
important than trains.

| Hi Sorry I missed the last dinner - I was out of town on business. I'm in the process of building test blocks for the upcoming competition. Unfortunately Lego Shop At Home is backordered on the 2x2 Black Smooth Tiles until June 10 - the day after (...) (24 years ago, 30-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
