  Re: John Goodman on WW

"Tim Courtney" <tim@zacktron.com> wrote in message news:HFDDF2.H4J@lugnet.com... (...) Oh come on, Atlantique is so gorgeous! :) (...) That is the most ghastly thing I have ever seen. EVER. (...)   Re: John Goodman on WW

(...) Oops. Atlantique and Thalys - Eurostar is OK, but not compared to the ICE. (...) This one? (URL) the one I like. I like the spaceship look! :-) (...) Interesting -- got a clip? Why are they advertising the Germain trains in Canada? -Tim (21 years ago, 24-May-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: John Goodman on WW

(...) The Thalys PBKA only. The older Thalys is basically the PSE or A trainset with different colours and I think modification for triservice power. I don't like them. The PBKA is the Duplex nose profile. I'm okay with the Eurostar too. I have (...) (21 years ago, 24-May-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: John Goodman on WW

(...) Now how's that for a new round of Calum-Ball? Eurostar and Thalys PBKA ROCK. Seeing as I just got off a Eurostar less than two hours ago. Down with the TGV PSE and TGV-A! No dents in the power unit nose profile! Calum (21 years ago, 24-May-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Should I upgrade to RIS 2.0?

(...) I'm not really sure how the PC based software works, but I know no one in our group uses it. Everyone is either NQC, LeJOS or ATL script... Calum (21 years ago, 24-May-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: John Goodman on WW

(...) Both are ugly. I'm a fan of the ICE. Then I might be biased, cause it's the only one of the above I've ridden on. -Tim (21 years ago, 23-May-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: John Goodman on WW

(...) It's my opinion that they are both ugly. Thalys is ok. Calum and I have long had an argument that he thinks Thalys is prettier than the TGV-Atlantique, and I've stated over and over that the TGV-A will never be topped as far as aesthetics go. (...)   Re: John Goodman on WW

(...) What's wrong with Thalys ??? Or Eurostar for that matter? They're all nifty/fast trains. (We have seen TGV and Thalys models posted to lugnet.trains but I don't remember if Eurostar has been done or not) (21 years ago, 23-May-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Man, it's quiet!

(...) Well duh… The *new* _Article 7, Section 4.93_ ‘Rule’ of Calum Ball states: that if a founding member of rtlToronto heads for Europe at any time, the rest of the members/players will immediately discontinue their posting privileges.   Re: John Goodman on WW

(...) Watching a season finale at 7h is like... that's like drinking beer before noon. Or smoking in the shower. It's one of those things that just can't feel right. :) (...)   John Goodman on WW

He's looking a little pudgy around the edges... But wow! I thought 25 was referring to the 25 hours after Zoey's kidnapping... Anyway, got to watch the season finale this morning at 7 a.m. and it was great. Why am I talking about a television show (...) (21 years ago, 23-May-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: I know Kung Fu!

(...) Nice Work. I hope you enjoy the RIS 2.0. (I still don't have one yet. I DO have a couple 1.0's and a 1.5). (...) I seen it last Saturday. I thought it was very cool.   Re: Should I upgrade to RIS 2.0?

So the 1.5 Mindstorm PC based programming software (does it have a real name, to minimize confusion?) that uses the drag and drop based GUI should work fine with the 2.0 firmware. It just won't provide access to those features. Second dumb newbie (...) (21 years ago, 22-May-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Should I upgrade to RIS 2.0?

Still haven't opened my RIS 1.5 (hey, I'm planning a move so I'm kinda busy right now...why else would I be posting at midnight?) big question...should I stick with the 1.5 firmware and RIS software (to start and for my 8 year old kid) or should I (...)
