  Re: mastercard

(...) Why does it have to be near the university? With all due respect, exactly how many people does that actually concern? I'm only aware of two. It seems to me that some place near the 401 would be more appropriate given that (I suspect) the (...) (23 years ago, 13-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Well okay, now it's out in the open. Mario once called me loud-108 db as he once noted. You certainly are louder :) Not as loud as the crazy political woman we once had at Mel's, but loud enough. If anything, the real issue is the commotion. (...)   Train: Legs, Modules and NMRA 2003

Hey folks, Since Angelo asked at the dinner tonight about the PNLTC modules, here they are: (URL) some point we should probably consider legs. I know we have a compound mitre or table saw somewhere to cut a set of legs for the whole group. We'll by (...) (23 years ago, 12-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: The portlands below altenburg

(...) So, I wanted to mention this at dinner, but didn't get around to it, and all of a sudden, only Technic people were left... :) The layout is getting too large. We need to cut it down in size quick, or we'll have a lot of unused space which (...) (23 years ago, 12-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

I think there's going to be a lot of competition to install cranes into the Portlands :) I'd like to point out (Jeff, pay heed!) that there's going to need to be a mountainfront cliff and two tunnel entrances where (...)   I love Jake...

So, finally, after all these years... I *will be* Supercar complete... Yes, with hands shaking, I dialed the S@H # and spoke the codeword, And with a few keystrokes, Melissa is shipping me an 8880.   Re: The portlands below altenburg

(...) LEGO should really make that part anyway--it would be a definite seller, 'specially if it came in a pack of 2--you could design some pretty nifty layouts with that type of crossing. My humble opinion... Dave K (23 years ago, 11-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: The portlands below altenburg

Wow, that's a lot of shoehorning! I think you're going to run into four basic problems with this layout: 1) Curves into Calum's station aren't going to work 2) The geometry is a bit iffy, which will lead to track breaks 3) The tight parallel curves (...)   I'm not going tonight...

Hi... I am unable to come to the dinner tonight as I have a family get-together this weekend in the Windsor area. Keep me informed about the goings on in the meeting. I have come up with a possible design for Trebuchet. Thanks, Ben (23 years ago, 11-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: The portlands below altenburg

(...) Ok, I did up a picture of this idea. Marked the modules in Red. (URL) worry about the strange cross over under Altenburg. We don't have to talk about that now, I know how much Chris hates it when I talk about modifying parts. :-) Derek (23 years ago, 11-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
