Re: 110 VAC powered lego motors

(...) I am sorry. I was doing it from memory, and i thought I did so well by remembering the combination of "hias" that I forgot the easy part of Matt. As you (and all of Lugnet) are aware, I am a very poor speller. I don't know why, I always have (...) (23 years ago, 28-Feb-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: 110 VAC powered lego motors

(...) It's two "t"'s Mr. Mango :-) (...) My point here is this: I was using the Lego train transformer, which is just that: a transformer (10:1 ie. 120VAC in yields 12VAC out - no regulation, no filtering) If the voltage at the wall drops 8.3% (...)   Re: lube....

(...) Hey, Iain: What's new? how is life? I have now re-sorted most of the x-bot back into my storage system. So, I was wondering. Do you have a wealth of information that you could share with me regarding lubricants? :) Chris (23 years ago, 28-Feb-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  lube....

So here I sit, My X-bot is in smaller and smaller parts. As I get down into the gear trains, and sliders, I notice a LOT of lego dust. This should not come as a surprise. many of you made comment about the dust on the worm to 24T gear gripper. (...) (23 years ago, 28-Feb-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Aaaargh!!! I hate that! 'Specially on machines that aren't backed up! But remember, chmod a-w is your friend (along with alias rm 'rm -i', but I prefer the former)! ROSCO (23 years ago, 27-Feb-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) 'specially if Daveism's show up! (...) To clarify soccer rules--the 'bot can't pick up the ball, but can it contain it?   interesting reads

I was "reviewing" my e-mail account, particularly my "lego friends" folder. I was amazed at how many rtl e-mails I have.   I am an idiot

There's a reason why I'm dangerous with Solaris, and that's because I'm too used to Windows NT. Today I was doing a df -k on Peachy and noticed my data disk was at 99-100% capacity. Knowing that filesystems don't perform well over 40% capacity, this (...) (23 years ago, 27-Feb-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

10020 (A *train* topic!!! Read at own risk!!!)

Well, I received the 10020 yesterday night. Let me tell you that I am most impressed!   Little minifigure champion

On the rtlToronto10 "Scoreboard", there was a little minifigure pumping his arm in triumph next to Rob Stehlik's name. Who drew this? Was it Greg Hyland? It's really cute. Calum (23 years ago, 27-Feb-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
