There's a reason why I'm dangerous with Solaris, and that's because I'm too
used to Windows NT.
Today I was doing a df -k on Peachy and noticed my data disk was at 99-100%
capacity. Knowing that filesystems don't perform well over 40% capacity,
this was a little alarming. So I went into the events/lego directory and
started deleting out some stuff-specifically, Iain Hendry's videos, which we
keep one of at any given time (the rest are archived onto rtlToronto/archive
CDRs we pass out at dinners).
So I'm looking for these videos and notice them as
lego-101301-video-large.mpg and so I typed...happily using tcsh's filename
completion...rm lego-101301-* and boom, all the rtl9 stuff is gone. DAMN.
Anyways, if anyone has a recent wget of Peachy, please let me know. I'm
going to be upgrading the disks (and maybe the actual server) of Peachy, so
hopefully we'll have more disk space in the near future.

| (...) Aaaargh!!! I hate that! 'Specially on machines that aren't backed up! But remember, chmod a-w is your friend (along with alias rm 'rm -i', but I prefer the former)! ROSCO (23 years ago, 27-Feb-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
