(...) Well, since Mario's already responded to this thread, he won't complain about me replying :) We had the xEmployees entry running at the cube again this afternoon to disassemble, but before we started taking it apart, we had to show it to a (...)   Re: Guess what.

(...) Welcome to the club. As of thursday night, mine was running the anti-x in about 29 seconds - some patterns in 27 seconds, although, my robot doesn't do a pre-scan and therefore has to search every square in the X, there isn't a lot of (...)   cool shot..

did anyone manage to get a photo showing the "line" of robots?? I mentioned to Dave K that if you looked down the row of tables, all you saw was robot, laptop, robot, laptop, robot, laptop, robot, PC, robot, PC, robot laptop..... this would have (...)   Re: An extra RCX anyone?

(...) Although I don't have a RCX on offer, I would suggest he post in .nf. Assuing he makes it into St John's on occasion, there is at least one other lego fan there. (though not a robot fan, Heather is a Townie/Pirate person) As far as stores (...) (23 years ago, 26-Feb-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: An extra RCX anyone?

(...) doesn't (...) Last time I've checked it was $180+tax, which works out to a hefty $207. Besides BrickLink has a couple for US$89 (~CAN$145) and you pay no taxes. ***At this point I would have also mentioned a certain auctions website, but I'm (...) (...) Hi Ivan, Spectrum Educational has the 1.0 with powerjack for about $150 if he doesn't mind paying a little more. It's brand new. Calum (23 years ago, 26-Feb-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  An extra RCX anyone?

I'm just curious if any of you guys are willing to sell an RCX to a poor soul in need? A friend of mine from Newfoundland wants to get on the whole Mindstorms hype, but apparently there is a shortage of RIS's and Lego in general over there. He's (...) The video shows the carousel indexing and the one pick-and-place robot I've built so far (to be duplicated 3 times). Yes, the robot (...) (23 years ago, 26-Feb-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  R11

OK, i have 2 ideas stuck in my head for r11. One is a WAY COOL idea but would require more organization and participation from people long before the event. the second idea, is ok, a nice simple event to reset our brains, it would be easy to do, and (...) I should have the pics I took at the event up by tonite (approx 6-7 p.m. EST): (URL) didn't get around to taking nearly as many pics as I wanted 'cause I realized at the start of the actual competiton, my 'bot was behaving flaky, and a quick fix was (...)   Re: Guess what.

(...) How did you power the LEGO light Rob? Did you wire the light sensor itself to the light, thereby using the current that the RCX sends out to active sensors to power the light? Or did you use an external battery box? John (23 years ago, 25-Feb-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: rtl10 robot roll call

Just like Rob, I'm getting my info in a bit late.... It was a lot of fun to build the robot, but also quite challenging. I don't think I've ever built something this complex, nor spent so much time on 1 LEGO project, as I did on this Xbot. (...) (23 years ago, 25-Feb-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
