  Re: ProjectX thoughts and beyond

(...) WELL, I'd go in. sure, I'd toss in 5 ot 10 bucks. What ever we do, it should be a low key kind of event. once you introduce prizes then the rule of engagement become a LOT more important. and you would need official impartial Judges. AND if I (...)   Re: Train 3 Height and Width

(...) I found it a bit irritating but I've grown used to making anything on the mainlines 15 tall. Most people don't build over top of the track that much anyways-at least not in train2-train3 will probably be different. But I don't bother with (...)   Re: High speed timelapse

(...) Nice, Calum. Tempts me to put my S100 on a stand in low rez mode and shoot 64MB of frames one every 10 seconds or so :) I'll have to build the furniture store that way... Jeff E (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) I don't think it would be any more hazardous then the Monkey contest. Plus it requires the development of multiple modes of operation. You have to drive up to the edge of the table, deploy the bridging mechanism, cross the gap and retract the (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  ProjectX thoughts and beyond

Hi everyone... Long time no post! Anyway, Over the Christmas holidays, I spent almost all of my time working on my ProjectX robot. I am quite happy with the results, but it surprised me how long it took to build. I now have a love/hate relationship (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: High speed timelapse

(...) Hey Calum, Just had to poke my head into rtltoronto to say that this clip is great! I love the steps you took to get to the timelapse, without dropping any frames...way cool. Matt (Great song, too...) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  High speed timelapse

Hi folks, Here's something fun to check out: (URL) MPEG1) I videotaped myself building a factory building in my train3 layout for about 30 minutes (I could only find a blank 60 minute Hi8 tape, which equates out to 30 minutes of Digital8). I then (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Project X and game play

(...) OOPS. Iain, I thought it was understood that for every "round" it would be a new and different pattern. it would be boring to watch the same robot do solve the same pattern over and over again. Besides, any logic program you come up with to (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Project X and game play

The way that is currently stated on the page is: -A set of Starting Patterns is chosen somehow (submissions in a hat, random, whatever). -Each round, everyone runs the same Starting Pattern. ie, if the first Starting Pattern of the day is a O, (...)
