  Imperial Shuttle

I just uploaded pictures of an Imperial Shuttle I build about 2 years ago. (URL) was a fun one to build. It had landing gear that would raise and lower by the 24t gear on the back. The wings could be raised or lowered manually. It was a little (...) (23 years ago, 30-Oct-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: OT, C64 musings Re: personal challange

(...) Oh my, there's some memories... I got my first 5.25 disk at a TPUG meeting with PET software on it. Cost me 5 dollars for 1 floppy! (circa 1980) And what was his name... oh I can't remember... but he was the king of Commodore and had lots of (...) (23 years ago, 29-Oct-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Nov 16th good day for Nov dinner?

How are people for November 16th, Friday, for the next rtlToronto dinner? November 9th, Iain and I are out visiting MonLUG in Montreal, and maybe since we had the October dinner so late after rtlToronto9 it would be a good idea to push back onto (...)   OT, C64 musings Re: personal challange

(...) Ah nostalgia. When I was a bit younger, in high school, I liquidated the high school Commodore64 lab of 30 machines, which happened to have been rat infested. The deal was Comspec (a large Canadian computer vendor at the time with many school (...) (23 years ago, 29-Oct-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Sometimes I even turn it on and play Paradroids or Fort Apocalypse, though my favourite game was Jumpman... could do all 30 levels straight!) (...)   Mosaic project

Hi folks, Mario and I finished his mosaic project this weekend. It's a 96x48 mosaic: (URL) was a hell of a lot harder than I had expected. First was the problem that we were working with a limited supply of bricks (dual 1200 piece tubs). We tried a (...) (23 years ago, 29-Oct-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  latest train project info.....

Just to let you know, I've decided to scrap the Genesis Engine altogether... I wanted to make that design, but the (original) club car only has one hole on each of its sides, making a (regular) train motor real hard without putting an additional (...)   Re: personal challange

(...) this is what i think i meant. because you have to name each array with a constant A(1) = 100 A(2) = 200 A(4) = 300 this is really no different than just a funny variable naming system A = 100 B = 200 C = 300 BUT if you could do this: var A(n) (...)   Re: rtlToronto10 Tentative Rules Preview

(...) I think you have a point, but I think due to the "spirit of game", I think the fishing line doesn't cross the line.   Re: personal challange

(...) No Problem. You should check out Dave Baums books on NQC. I have them, and I would be a much better programmer if I had worked through all of the examples. But, I haven't found much time for that. I always spend more time on mechanical (...) (23 years ago, 28-Oct-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: rtlToronto10 Tentative Rules Preview

I only mention it because Iain was so desperate to use it, and at the dinner after rtl9 I recall Chris, after much persuasion said he could. I believe in the end we decided as a group it was ok, for this contest only. Correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway (...) (23 years ago, 27-Oct-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: rtlToronto10 Tentative Rules Preview

(...) Well, here's the question of the week: Should something like monofilament/fishing line be allowed? We've always said basic rubber bands and cotton string that approximates Lego string and rubber bands would be perfectly fine. But fishing line (...)
