  Hobby Show--huh??

So I just received a phone call from Christine--she's helping organize the clubs who are attending the hobby show. so bottom line--we have to bring our own tables and chairs (or rent them) AND if we want electicity, we have to rent that from the (...)   Re: Comments from a laundromat ...

(...) Oh my god! I had a good idea? Wow. I think if a hopper design was posted that had to be made exactly the same, and there were some minor requirements for where you can attach it, and you just say "you intentially can't knock recived blocks (...)   Re: Comments from a laundromat ...

(...) That's a good idea for a competition. I'm sure we'd have to define the rules a bit to state that the hopper can't be covered, and once a block is in the hopper, no mechanism can knock it out of the hopper... Here's the thing about the other (...) (19 years ago, 26-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) OK. (shrug) I guess 20 (...) maybe. I still feel a bit bad, that you dont like this game. (just a bit) I do understand that your enjoyment of this dropped when it became a game of "luck" in your opinion. sorry man. (...) ....and people asked (...)   gene pool

I think I'm going to start a pool, where people can bet on the number of blocks that get delivered at rtl 20. I'm going to guess four. But, that's only because after several zero-block rounds, two people will realize they can score one point each by (...) (19 years ago, 26-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Comments from a laundromat ...

(...) Oh, please... We all know that the intent is to be sugestive, and so will everyone there. Comparing it to the spacecraft is naive. Why not this: blocks are to be dropped into a basket. However, you don't want blocks to be droped into your (...) (19 years ago, 25-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  In need of...

I had an eBay auction that I just lost on... it was for LEGO Racer track with the battery car windup thingies... So if anyone has a spare Racer winder track thingie (two would be better even!), I'd be more than appy to buy it off you. I have an idea (...) (19 years ago, 25-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Comments from a laundromat ...

(...) Wait a minute! Yes, I agree, this game makes for some great juvenile jokes. Yes, I agree, in every game there is a bit of "dumb luck"... and truly, often it may be hard to see just what divine intervention will provide it. BUT I disagree that (...)   Re: Comments from a laundromat ...

(...) Once again, Calum sums up exactly what I've been thinking in all the rtl20 stuff. I've been reading the posts and thinking "this is juvinile," and "boy, Calum sure has been quiet about this stuff." I didn't want to post this, because all I (...)   Comments from a laundromat ...

I'm sitting here in a laundromat in Kyoto and I've been reading your posts about rtl20. To put in bluntly, this is really going to for a lot of work to make a stupid joke. You'd be better off putting your energy into building hygiene product shaped (...) (19 years ago, 25-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Along with everything else...

(...) I know this would take a little bit more work, but what about a simple maze that 'bots could just go though? Then it's something that could just be 'on' all the time, or most of the time, and it's interesting. Navigating a maze is something (...) (19 years ago, 24-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Along with everything else...

I was thinking for the hobby show, since we're having many wonderful yet pretty much 'static' displays, that we might want to add to it... Such as, say.... SUNDAY!!! SUNDAY!!! SOMEDAY!!!! (...) WHY? at max, 10 robots at 12" will only ever fill at MAX, all lined up in a row, just over 1/10th of the play area. thats TONS of room. no. i think we can leave it at 12" knowing that only you and Steve will build to the full 12" (...) i think (...)   Re: rtl 20 - mating rules

(...) If we can maybe think about limiting the size to 10 x 10 x 10, or even 8x8x8 (though that might be tough), there'd be much more room on the playfield. Though if the 'bots are 12x12x12, we'd just have less 'bots at one time--smaller orgy... So (...) (19 years ago, 23-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
