Re: Quite C and BrickOS (WAS: Re: Steve H, C$, me learning C Brick OS)

(...) wow calum, I take back some of those nasty things i said about you to the reporter at dinner. your 64 example explained it very well. thanks. so based on what calum said, I wont even bother trying to install QC. cause my marble prg might not (...)   Re: Quite C and BrickOS (WAS: Re: Steve H, C$, me learning C Brick OS)

(...) Well, the general syntax and structure of C are the same. But how you call the motors, sensors and other hardware is different from platform to platform, unless someone deliberately tried to make them all common, which I'm not sure. Think of (...) (...) OKOKOK you forced it out of me. a few years ago, kate gave me 2 fish for my birthday. (i never asked for fish, we never spoke of fish, i don't really care for fish) so i get these 2 "gold fish" one pink, one blue. so I name them Thelma and (...)   Re: I dont want to be a "steve"

(...) I'm in. Currently there are two open slots for teams in F1. All it takes is 48 million and a two by four to enter. We can cut the two by four in half to make the two "car" team. Any one got anything they can mortgage for 48 million? Derek (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: I dont want to be a "steve"

(...) If you read the goal as not lose, then you've read it wrong, at least here in Toronto. A long time ago, we suspected a competitor cheated in a sumo event. Perhaps that person thought the goal was to "Not lose". (...) That's just dumb. That's (...) (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Quite C and BrickOS (WAS: Re: Steve H, C$, me learning C Brick OS)

(...) You sound as if you've never even heard of QC. That’s rather strange, as one of the few (if not the only one) Mindstorms Connect 4 bots (by Andy Clapham’s: (URL) is programmed in Quite C. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't BrickOS use a (...) (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Quite C and BrickOS (WAS: Re: Steve H, C$, me learning C Brick OS)

(...) I can safely attest to the fact that Fish do not like coffee. As I am right now struggling with a "clean" install of BrickOS..... can you riddle me this: if I install this QC prg, can I compile and D/L c code written for brickos??? Chris (...)   Re: I dont want to be a "steve"

(...) Actually (Calum's not going to like this) I think that was a novel approach. Knowing that it's almost impossible for that 'entry' to cause an opponent to leave the sumo ring (unless it gets tangled in the opponent's sensors), that means the (...)   Quite C and BrickOS (WAS: Re: Steve H, C$, me learning C Brick OS)

(...) Is there any particular reason why no one seems to be using Francesco Ferrara’s ‘Quite C’ ((URL) not a programmer by calling, so the “finer differences” are neither apparent nor important to me. As far as I can tell QC is basically build on (...) (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Anyone want to try this?

This looks like a lot of fun: (URL) a trick question, seriously, anyone want to build some space? I realized how much space I had from the eighties the other day which will never be used.) Calum (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: I dont want to be a "steve"

(...) I'll give you my two demonstrated dink worthy situations so far: -Entering in a Lego sticker as a sumo competitor (JeffE) -Battery box thing on PipeRacers (Steve) I've been thinking hard about dinkness, and it's a vague accusation.   I dont want to be a "steve"
