hi all for those in Melbourne on Friday night (Nov 10th) the Melbourne Science Fiction Club is having a Lego Building Competition. Well I thought the card was also for if you ever go to a Legoland and receive a discount etc! Well ok so not tooooo many people from Australia will end up at one, I will in February though yayayaya :) But I thought that was the main idea of the (...) You know, all this trouble means that there's probably going to be a major retaliatory brick-migration. I don't know how many people here signed up for 2 years with the world club, but apparently the keyrings are only when you renew your membership. I was up at my local toyworld this morning to check on the status of an order I had, and I was informed that this store has ceased to deal with LA (and has cancelled all orders) for the remainder of the year following LA's poor treatment/refusal to (...) Dropped by Chadstone TRU this evening and a sign out front proudly declared, "25% OFF ALL LEGO". After the excitement wore off I stood in the Lego section for half an hour agonising about what to buy and how much to spend. Sure enough, my funds (...) (...) Assuming we just get the Euro selection, it's strange that Europe doesn't get a rectangular bulk bucket. They make them for Duplo, so why not for basic. It is ever so quiet in the .au groups at the moment. Perhaps I should mention that the government is planning to increase import duties on Toys. (that is a November 2 fools joke I hope).
