I think the 1200 bucket is exceptional even by N American standards though:
people have compared the price per piece in the S@H bulk packs quite
unfavourably with those buckets (except for the colour and piece range
obviously).

(...) Assuming we just get the Euro selection, it's strange that Europe doesn't get a rectangular bulk bucket. They make them for Duplo, so why not for basic. Do the residents of the US use that many more basic bricks. Or is it a matter of pricing (...) (24 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)
