I don't know how many people here signed up for 2 years with the world club,
but apparently the keyrings are only when you renew your membership.
Unfortunately for LA, the magazines are packed in Singapore, and shipped
here, so there was a BIG stuff-up where the insert about renewing was included.
I was talking to one of Australias world-club customer service ladies on
Friday, and she explained that the world club only gives "gifts" on two
occasions: joining= a rubber, and renewing [1 or 2 years] is a keyring.
Unfortunately they don't have any other reward for 2 year renewal other than
a minor saving on membership.
However, if you received a renewal form and din't receive a key-ring, try
phoning LA and seeing what can be done...you may be able to get a keyring
still. [After all, signing up for 2 years is like signing up for 1 year and
then renewing :) ]

NOTE: the membership cards have been scrapped as they didn't have any
use...how much trouble would it have been for LA to arrange with some stores
to give a 5% lego discount on presentation of the cards/arrange some sort of
deal with somewhere like Pizza hut/McDonalds, etc. ?

| (...) Presentation of one's membership card was worth 10 percent discount last year at Toyworld stores here in New Zealand. This is no longer the case though.
