Re: Formal Lugnet memberships from Aus...

(...) If you give an account name and number, is it possible to withdraw money out of that account? I hadn't thought so. Either way, I'll be going to the post office next week sometime (holidays yeah yeah!!) and doing the deal then sometime. If (...) (24 years ago, 28-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Re: Organising LegOz/org.au (was RE: Formal Lugnet memberships from A us...)

(...) What about three groups ? 1.NSW and QLD and New Zealand(if they want). 2.VIC and TAS. 3.WA Jane from SA can decide between 2 and 3. (...) regions: (...) I think this might be a slightly heavy-weight organisation for the numbers of people involved! For example, I don't there are enough Qlders and NTers for a separate Northern group. Also, unless people live within 1-2 hours (...)   Re: Formal Lugnet memberships from Aus...

(...) Yes, I agree. I didn't even realise until this thread began that there was a formal membership of LUGnet available. (Yeah, I realise now it's all on the LUGnet WWW site, but I guess I hadn't noticed). (...) For breakfast, he gnaws on some (...) (24 years ago, 28-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Re: Formal Lugnet memberships from Aus...

(...) Cash in the post is risky, an idea I was uncomfortable with even before a case just this last week where a worker in my local postoffice was charged and found guilty of stealing money and other things out of the mail. Are you comfortable (...) (24 years ago, 28-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Re: Formal Lugnet memberships from Aus...

(...) You can supply them with an account name and number, but that brings in security aspects (eg. Nigerian money laundering schemes), so I guess you have to trust to whom you supply these things. (...) It's probably worth considering, but for the (...) (24 years ago, 28-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

RE: Formal Lugnet memberships from Aus...

(...) I don't know how anyone else feels about it, but when dealing in Autralia, I prefer to either deposit payment, or have the payment deposited in one of my bank accounts. The major benefit of this is that it allows the person getting paid to (...) (24 years ago, 28-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Re: Formal Lugnet memberships from Aus...

(...) I'm not writing this to stop you going on your own, but the answers to the following may be helpful for the future.   RE: Organising LegOz/org.au (was RE: Formal Lugnet memberships fr om A us...)

(...) Well, at present the names don't really matter, especially as the NSW/ACT group will probably remain as 'Studs'. The descriptions were just to show where the region is situated, and the final groups could choose their own names....Although, (...)   Re: Organising LegOz/org.au (was RE: Formal Lugnet memberships from A us...)

(...) I like this structure, makes very good sense to me. Although I'd think NSW and ACT might be better called the Eastern zoning and NZ etc something else (not sure what, Oceania? Offshore? Other? :)). Feel free to disagree. Deidre drb@tasmail.com (24 years ago, 28-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au, lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.nz)

Organising LegOz/org.au (was RE: Formal Lugnet memberships from A us...)

(...) Yet another good reason for having organisers in each state for LegOz. They can help by handling this sort of thing, and sending the money to whoever will be posting it overseas. [1] Also a thought on LegOz organisation...instead of states, (...) (24 years ago, 28-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au, lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.nz)

Lego Soccer, fun for all the family!

I bought my Lego Soccer sets last Friday, and at the cheap prices (+ an additional 10% discount) I think they're worth every cent. The whole family (well, all 3 of us) are having a ball(!).   Re: Formal Lugnet memberships from Aus...

(...) Thanks for volunteering Santosh! I'll definitely be joining but I'll do my money order separately, it'll cost me ~$5 for a local MO or bank cheque for Santosh so I may as well go straight for the US one myself.   Re: Formal Lugnet memberships from Aus...

(...) Does Todd look after Lugnet in his spare time?(WOW!) This is by far the best forum I've ever seen. (...) Get a US$ money order(Western Union) from the local Post Office.
