Re: Looking for util to set IMG size in HTML

(...) Whoops, I found it. It was hiding on my C: drive. :-P The tool is called wwwis, it is written in Perl, and it can be found at: (URL) - jsproat (25 years ago, 6-Jul-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.publish)

Looking for util to set IMG size in HTML

Hey all, I'm looking for a quick'n'dirty tool which will scan my HTML and modify the IMG tags to properly reflect the image dimensions. Does anyone know where I can get such a thing? I think I've seen one somewhere implemented in Perl, but I could (...) (25 years ago, 6-Jul-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.publish)

The trouble is that they will still ask how the "elite" people get their special powers to do formatting, and whine when their malformed efforts (...)   No Reply-To: in Eudora Pro??

Help! :) I'm trying to activate the Reply-To: field in Eudora Pro 4.2. I looked over the manual and the only entry in the index is showing its use in filters for incoming messages. I looked in help and also looked over the options. I see no way of (...) (25 years ago, 6-Jul-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

(...) LOL!!! OK, I shouldn't've crossposted to .off-topic.geek without giving a link (with that weird URL thing I do) to the top-level node in the thread, explaining what this was all about. OK Ed, I just quickly went back to my History file in my web browser and checked the original source...it does indeed let you change formatting right in the middle of a sentence like that -- although it will not properly abut the comma against (...)   Re: markup syntax for member pages

(...) I'm in shock. I guess you were never as DOS based as I was. B I and C were the keys in Word Perfect( and several other Dos based word processors) for those exact commands (usually with the <ALT> or <CTRL> key). (25 years ago, 5-Jul-99, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: markup syntax for member pages

(...) Whoops -- ambiguity alert again... Darn it, when will I learn to write?! By "it" in "if it fit in nicely," I meant whatever markup is chosen for member-pages, not the one mentioned three nodes up on the thread.   Re: markup syntax for member pages

(...) Huh?! Why? It's the most disgusting thing I've ever seen! A single character in column 1 to modify the entire line? That's somewhat intuitive for *, ], and >, but for b and i and c it's pathetic. (...) Chell specking would be fun. Anyway, it (...)   Re: markup syntax for member pages

(...) Reconsider not considering it. And add spell checking as well. To those of you who read my posts, spellchecking would be a welcome relief (you don't need to search Dejanews for proof). And I'd love to be able to format text in posts to LUGNET. (25 years ago, 5-Jul-99, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: markup syntax for member pages

(...) Wow -- I wonder if their technology 18 years ago was up to par with the digital video cameras on the market today? Knowing the tricks Sony can pull, I suspect it probably was.
