What the heck is up with rule #5? Maybe you ought to follow your rule #2. What is Kevoh anyways and why should I beware of him/it? How the heck am I supposed to follow a rule that doesn’t make any sense? Having that in there seems like you tried to interject a bit of sarcasim/humor; but by doing so kinda invalidates the rest of the rules. “If rule #5 is a joke then are the rest of them serious or not?”

All of these rules should be adhered without question. And just this once I shall explain to you the reasoning. “teh” is a commong term in most internet circles, It is also seen as “the” “t3h” and the little known “t3he”. All of these refer to the word “The” in the internet dialect of “1337” which you, do not possess. And by rule number 5, “Kevoh” is a person with a tongue much like that of satan. or womrtongue. So fear him. for he will spit fire at you.

So what exactly is your criteria for “bad MOCs”? Who is the judge? How many colors can I use before a moc becomes a “rainbow warrior”. What if I just happen to choose a bad color scheme (like lime green and dark blue?)

First off I am going to answer this in the order I read it. Part one. A bad MOC is any moc that looks like a cat threw it up into a random cohesion of bricks, or bionicles with eight arms all of which with a sword and five feet. Both of these are bad, and/or crappy MOCs and probably, most likely will be deleted by the forum Moderation team. Part two: Rainbow warrior. If a moc looks like the following:

http://brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=79058

This, children, is a rainbow warrior. It consists of all the primary colors and shades that Lego offered in 1989, and then some. Models such as this, shall and will not be tolerated on the C-S forums as well. For these, are the product of a 2 year old with too much time and not enough diaper changing.

I don’t know... I’ve read this thread and others that weighed the pros/cons of starting a new forum. I hate to say it, but after reading your rules, you do come off sounding like arrogant, whinny, control-freaks. I understand the desire to want to moderate the endless arguements where no new points are being made (like the ongoing 10152 debate or blay vs gray). I wish that lugnet could atleast lock some threads that refuse to die. However, judging other peoples MOCs, their art, as worthy of your site or not and deleting the ones you feel are not worthy.... well, makes you (the site) sound very conceited. I hope thats not your intent, but thats the taste they leave.

Again, order I read. We first off maybe arrogant, but the petty discussions that should stay in O-T forums that spill out onto say Sapce and fill it up with just.. well.. crap kinda drove us to this. With an actual moderation team, we can keep those kinda psots where the belong. Either in an O-T forum or in the virtual dead zone. Plus, we aren’t the ones whining about the rules. If you can’t/won’t/don’t follow the rules leave or be booted, for this is life. And just think of how brickshelf was before the checked boxes when adding a folder. You had millions of bionicle avatar photos for sites like BZPower to sift through to find that one MOC someone said was psoted on brickshelf. Just think of it like this. We moderate for your benefit.

I respect your rights to run your site in the manner that you please but the place does not sound very friendly. I do not know how you expect to draw out lurkers if people need to re-read their posts 10 times to make sure their i’s are dotted and their t’s are crossed before posting.

Best of luck, drc

Plus, we only encourage the same thing that teachers in most educational systems of the world support. Grammar, punctuation, and proper spelling. All things that can have the difference between fast-food employment and the corporate ladder. So feel free to complain, for this is the United States. But we ain’t changing squat.

Your anger management counslor, Rick
