  Re: Essential nature of mankind

(...) That is a good point; in terms of colonization, the Spanish had a more overtly religious tone to the economic exploitation. An interesting irony is that while the Spanish often used divine right as a justification, they also, over the course (...) (24 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

(...) Actually, you'd enjoy the Moslem's perspective on Jesus (which I agree with) as a prophet who took care of business. Moslem's acknowledge the willful, uncorruptable, rebellious personality of Jesus--standing up for the oppressed, weak and poor (...) (23 years ago, 12-Apr-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

(...) Actually I really can't understand why there is a term like terrorist? We already have enough terms that define the actions of "terrorist" like murder, kidnapping, burglary, plunder, and so on. What is the difference if you killed someone for (...) (23 years ago, 7-May-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Lar, I read your post about what a terrorist is: "I would tend to say it's a person or group using violence against bystanders as a way to make a political point or get a political outcome." By your definition, here's a list of "terrorists" for you: (...) (23 years ago, 3-May-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Richard, Wow, that was an excellent post! Yes, I agree that we should remember all the victims of the Holocaust.
