I always enjoy for some odd reason the passages where Jesus is so utterly
unreligious, like when he tosses furniture around in the temple, or breaks
the sabbath day on purpose to tick the Pharisees off, or does lunch with the
drunks and prostitutes despite what a holy man "ought to do."  I guess the
stereotype Jesus seems to "feminine" for me for lack of a better term.  When
he breaks that mold, I get that same feeling that guys get when they watch

Actually, you'd enjoy the Moslem's perspective on Jesus (which I agree with)
as a prophet who took care of business. Moslem's acknowledge the willful,
uncorruptable, rebellious personality of Jesus--standing up for the
oppressed, weak and poor and defying the religious and political leadership
of the time (like Ghandi or Dr. King in our time).

(...) Okay, but the only problem with that is that Jesus claimed to be more than a prophet. I mean that's what got him killed was the "blasphemy" of referring to himself as "I Am." I'm sure the Moslems have a problem with that. By calling Jesus a (...) (23 years ago, 14-Apr-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)
