Maybe, rather than taking the "offensive" stuff out altogether, something
like this could accompany future comic strips right at the beginning, as
part of a disclaimer explaining that it is SATIRE against the offensive
marketing engine that dominated SW:TPM.  That way, for the humour-impaired
or non-hardcore SW fans, it could serve as a warning to read no further.

Jar-Jar is like Barney the Dinosaur -- it's hard not to love to hate him!

Words obviously spoken by a man without small kids. Barney (and Elmo) is an hour of uninterrupted time in which you can actually get something done. (...) I'm a little disapointed in that coment. I don't think it's being humor impaired to question the value of something which shows intolerance. (...) Haha, indeed. Anyways, in my opinion, Jar Jar has become the "Kenny" of Lego comics. So far I've seen him get beaten twice. I find it quite funny. Dan sent me an email last night, telling me that he was going to change his story because of all the whiners. I pleaded with him not to give in to them, but Dan is at heart a nice guy and he doesn't want people to be offended. He left this letter on (...) (24 years ago, 4-Nov-00, to lugnet.general)
