We aren't upset at you for this, Jacob. We respect that you have such a
list....I have one as well. I choose to post mine on my website rather than
leave it out in the open (as you have done) for everyone to scrutinize.

I can't disagree with you there. These are some of the best designs I've
ever seen.

Join the club! I wish I could build something that cool! I'm still working
on it and perhaps I'll have a model equal to this someday. (For the record,
Karim's dragon is the model that inspired me to start working on mecha.

It didn't backfire, Jacob. Continue posting and continue building. Just
realize that many people felt your post was inappropriate for ths group.
Whether or not we are wrong for for feeling this way is irrelevant.

Hmmm....Tim, you are missing the point. Opinions are fine. I have no problem
with posting opinions either, but to post it here isn't appropriate.
Remember, we're not talking about a simple opinion here, we're talking about
a defining list of mecha creations where no criteria has been set forth to
judge his 'opinion' by.

To which ego are you referring? Not mine, I hope. I care about praise about
as much as I care what color tie Larry King wears on a daily basis.
This hobby is entirely about building, not praise, and certainly not my
opinion of things that have no bearing on building in a .build group.

No politics, just building!

| (...) I honestly do not see what is wrong with posting a list of personal favorites to a group and thus sharing that list of favorites with others and inviting them to discuss their favorites as well.
