  Re: New Pricing??

(...) Ah, Larry is a true capitalistic pig dog troll! :) ...of course, this is coming from someone who is proudly communist, so take it in accordance with your own worldview. (I'm communist in the Marxist sense, not in the real world sense, in the (...) (24 years ago, 5-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Why do we not see diabled people represented in Lego(R)?

(...) LEGO hasn't, but you can find a MOC wheelchair at Suz's site: (URL) you've never been to baseplate.com before, it's only safe to warn you that you'll lose the afternoon looking at all of the cool stuff... ;) James (24 years ago, 5-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Why do we not see diabled people represented in Lego(R)?

(...) Huh? If you want a missing limb, simply remove it. If you want a non-functional limb, leave it there and don't move it. If you want a mentally-differently-abled person, well, they pretty much can be. If you want a blind person, there are a (...) (24 years ago, 5-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Why do we not see diabled people represented in Lego(R)?

(...) On the contrary, wooden legs and hook-hands abound in Pirates, while a number of minifig heads feature glasses. Most minifigs don't even have noses--I'd call that a disability! Dave! (24 years ago, 5-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Why do we not see diabled people represented in Lego(R)?

Simple question. Surely as disabled people are part of many communited. Why are they not represented in Lego(R)? Alex (24 years ago, 5-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

(...) Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble? :( (...) Ack, I know this is .debate and I should be all defensive and contrary and throw chairs at you, but that would be very silly considering that you're right. ;) US active Sonar can and does do this, (...)   Re: New Chrome Castle Sets

(...) You must do as pleases you, Larry. I don't know you well enough to dislike you. I disagree with your views. I disagree that you necessarily know any better about any of this "business" stuff than myself. I could list my credentials here, but (...) (24 years ago, 5-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

(...) the (...) to (...) Heckler & Koch built the P11 - an underwater firing 5 shot pistol that fires darts to 10-15m effective range under water and 30m above.   Re: New Chrome Castle Sets

(...) Varying degrees of educated guesses... indeed they are. However, I'll stake my business sense against yours any day. That is, I think my educated guesses are likely to be a bit better than yours, and I've shown why. 'Nuff said about that since (...) (24 years ago, 5-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: New Chrome Castle Sets

(...) You're right, and I agree, it would be wonderful if TLC did this. My issue is that I think there are more effective ways of asking for it than some people seem to want to employ. Those ways feature politeness... and some sort of rational (...) (24 years ago, 5-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.market.theory)

  Re: New Chrome Castle Sets

(...) For my part, I have nothing personal against Larry P. Hopefully these little skirmishes are no more than two Lego enthusiasts battling over the details -- and since the "devil is in the details," he probably possesses us both. -- Richard (24 years ago, 5-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.market.theory)

Re: a public response to Mr. Stangl's comments

i agree entirly this has gotten to the point where it has just become stupid and rediculously non-productive. I think that this is something that should be dropped altogether since it seems to be causing nothing but frustration to all parties (...)   Re: a public response to Mr. Stangl's comments

Folks, let's drop this argument from lugnet.market.auction, either put in off.topic.debate or personal, huh? Scott S. -- (24 years ago, 5-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: New Chrome Castle Sets

(...) Well, I'm certain if one of them ran across the other dying of thirst in the desert (or the Outback), he would not leave him to be taken by the vultures, but would quickly get him to a bar for a beer (or chai or diet Coke)! Maggie C. (who sees (...) (24 years ago, 4-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.market.theory)

  Re: New Chrome Castle Sets

Well, it started when I saw the pictures of those sets in an auction, and I mentioned where those that were in question in the original posting about the guy selling custom sets or real LEGO produced sets. I then commented it would be nice if (...) (24 years ago, 4-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.market.theory)

  Re: New Chrome Castle Sets

(...) The most generous refutation I can make to these assertions of yours, Larry, is to merely point out that assertions is all they amount to. I feel quite sure that neither one of us is in possession of the necessary information to do much better (...) (24 years ago, 4-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: New Chrome Castle Sets

(...) I don't remember how this thread began, but I thought the concern was at least as much that LEGO didn't publicize such things as that they were hard to get. That is, if you don't know something exists, you can't get it. (Or you find out about (...) (24 years ago, 4-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.market.theory)

  Re: New Chrome Castle Sets

(...) Yes, I am seriously suggesting that you have to *justify* TLC making available "the whole available line of products" (1) to everyone worldwide. As I have tried to show by using some examples, I don't think there is money in it for TLC. And (...) (24 years ago, 4-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)
