Re: Separation of Church and State

(...) This is part of the constant attempt by a certain segment of society to institutionalize its religion (i.e. inflict it upon everyone as the state-sanctioned theology). The prevalent religion at my son's school is Buddhism - the same law that (...) (21 years ago, 10-Jun-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: Melting a planet's core

(...) That sounds a lot like the premise of the recent movie The Core, but I saw a geophysicist on TV talking about it, and how he liked the fact that recent movies have been inspiring kids to get into science, but he said that in this case he (...)   Re: Separation of Church and State

(...) From the article, I'm not 100% sure, but I interpret the issue to have occurred on the grounds of two public schools. Am I correct?   Re: Separation of Church and State

(...) I don't think so. Of course the real solution is to eliminate public schools. Private schools may do whatever they please in this aspect. (...) It depends.   Melting a planet's core

I saw a program the other day which said that the planet Mars lost most of it's atmosphere when it lost it's magnetic field.   Separation of Church and State

Re: Bush, a flawed evil genius?

Re: Bush, a flawed evil genius?

(...) First, that there is a coalition of any consequences is laughable. Really it's just the U.S. and England.   Bush, a flawed evil genius?

Perhaps my good friends here on OTD, who are against the war can help enlighten my understanding, because I get a bit confused sometimes.
