  Re: Mega Bloks Spider-Man Pictures

(...) The French Revolution version of removing your hat. Ouch! (...) They still have the police torso under their armor. That makes them undercover cops. :) (...) I just compared the 2 brands and you're right - the legs are the same length. But, (...) (20 years ago, 12-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: More BTR on the way?

(...) Ha ha ha, okay, okay. I guess I have painted myself and many of my MOCs as BTR proponents. Thanks for that info Dave! I also thought that the BTR line was finito. TRU and Wally World (Wal-Mart) had cleared out their shelves for the last time, (...) (20 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

  Re: Clone sightings

(...) This week I spotted a small set in this series on the shelf at Wal*Mart. Apparently these are Exin blocks, which previously has produced castle sets and currently offers sets representing several Spider-Man scenes, Shrek's Castle, and/or (...)   More BTR on the way?

This might be of particular interest to (URL) Christy> and (URL) Pamela Hale,> but all are welcome to look: I just checked out the Hasbro website to gather some info on the (I thought) discontinued BTR line, and I discovered that there may be a (...)   Re: New Dragons Sets

<snip, et. al.> Well, here it is, my B-day, and I got to open up the package this morning. The crate is a bit better than reported or expected. It's real wood - thin and mostly ply, but real wood. The boxes inside are just 2. One for each set. I (...) (20 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: Mega Bloks Spider-Man Pictures

(...) Sure he can, as long as you take his head off with it! I've had some success mixing and matching the sculpted parts, at least enough to satisfy me, but I see your point. For someone who particularly values that kind of interchangeability, then (...) (20 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: Mega Bloks Spider-Man Pictures

(...) I'm aware of why the Minimates were pictured in this gallery - I wasn't suggesting they were replacing the MB figs, just pointing out how they made the MB figs look inferior (IMO). Actually, I think that the MB buildings look better when (...) (20 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  What might this portend?

I don't know anything at all about the "One Piece" animated series, other than the fact that two of the characters are apparently named Luffy and Shanks. However, while perusing the Japanese MegaBloks site, I came upon (URL) this set.> Leaving aside (...) (20 years ago, 9-Nov-04, to lugnet.boats, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Re: Price of petrol vs price of plastic products

(...) Yep, you don't know what the h-e-double-hockey-stick you're talking aboot--since it's a Canadian company, MB makes their bricks out of the furs of little baby seals and hockey sticks--that's why the Canadian gov't reimplemented the seal hunt (...)   Re: Price of petrol vs price of plastic products

(...) For that matter, I don't know why this should affect MegaBloks at all. From what I've gathered, MegaBloks are crafted from the bones of puppies and innocent children. Have I been misled? Dave! (20 years ago, 9-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Price of petrol vs price of plastic products

(...) Ya, but I can get by without all that other stuff, while LEGO? LEGO I gotta have. :-) (...) Follow up on that line of discussion probably ought to go to off-topic.debate (20 years ago, 9-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.lego)

Re: Price of petrol vs price of plastic products

(...) You're worried about just Lego? Everything made out of plastic, from clothes to carpets to housing materials to cars to appliances to electronics to computers to decorative junk around the house will increase in cost. Plastic, its everywhere. (...) (20 years ago, 9-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.lego)

Price of petrol vs price of plastic products

Hi, I just read this in local newspaper (Le journal de Montréal) edition of Nov 8th 2004: ==liberal translation from french== "Montréal based compagny MegaBlock indicated in October that they will need to increase cost of their toys to compensate (...)   Re: A Plea for Info

(...) Excellent! Thanks very much for your help, Russell. I'll add it to my listing. Dave! (20 years ago, 8-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: Mega Bloks Spider-Man Pictures

(...) It's not as though they replaced MegaBloks minifigs with MiniMates--all of the MB minifigs are shown in the review, and the (to me) hideous minimates only show up to demonstrate that the set can be used in a diorama, as the review indicates. (...) (20 years ago, 8-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: Mega Bloks Spider-Man Pictures

(...) I own a fair amount of Mega Bloks, but I'm not very impressed with this set. There are a few specialty elements I like (the mailbox is neat), but the main reason to get this would be for the minifigs, and I find Mega Bloks figs plain ugly. In (...)   Mega Bloks Spider-Man Pictures

Hey, Just wanted to keep everybody informed on the status of the New Spider-Man sets from Mega Bloks.   Re: New Dragons Sets

(...) Where have I been... I've been around. Did a stint working for one of the Lego stores for a little over a year, working myself poor as an assistant manager. I felt somewhat compelled not to post here during that period. And, then again, I (...) (20 years ago, 5-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: New Dragons Sets

(...) Jeez, Rich--where have you been? I haven't seen you in ot-clones in about three years! Thanks for the news about this set. Do you know if the chest has its own set-number, or is it just sold as a two-pack of the constituent sets? Either way, (...) (20 years ago, 5-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)
