The really sad part of this whole thing is that people are BUYING it. This, of course, makes the less reputable stores just order MORE of it... Sigh... Don't buy it. I emailed Playmates Toys asking if there were new sets. I got a reply saying that no, the LOTR sets were out of production but Toys R Us might still have them. Wondering if Intelliblox has plans for another round of LOTR sets, I notice our friend Marz Distribution listing a "Starter Set" for August 2002 pre-order. Its shelf price looks about $12. My definition of reliable is that if I push a model partly off the edge of the table, it shouldn't crumble and fall apart from its own weight, even if it's not completed.
