Start checking daily - the Target in Sunnyvale, CA, had them on clearance when I
checked this morning (bought out all the cabooses, waiting to see if the Big Train
set drops further), and Bay Area Targets seem to clearance later than anywhere
across the US.

Last night at Target (Mira Mesa, San Diego) my wife and I were doing our usual
browse pattern. I peeled off to check out the action figure aisle while she
went on ahead to the Lego aisle.

When I was finished I turned the corner and found Michelle salivating over the
Target My Own Train exclusives on clearance. They were each in the 30% off
range.

Between those and the $30 Ogel Control Center bought as a gift at the TRU next
door, we came home with a lot more Lego than we had planned to.

Wow! This is good news! But do you know if it is only that one? I was at the
target in La Mesa (San Diego) last night as well and they were not on
clearance yet. Did yuo leave any at the one in Mira Mesa? I may have to
swing by there to check it out.

Thanks for the heads up, I will have to keep an eye on them.

(...) I can confirm that the Target in Cupertino, CA on Stevens Creek has them at the clearance prices. I picked up the train set for $111.98. Russell (22 years ago, 12-Dec-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)
