  Re: about Target

(...) Yes!! You don't know that we are all e-mailing from Pakistan and wish to remain anonymous!?! I think you are just a wee bit set upon by those cretenous bludgerheads out in the Virginia shopping lanes, mostly a top down problem. Perhaps you (...)   Re: about Target

(...) I'd be interested in knowing what part of the country you're posting from with this story.* I wouldn't expect that kind of service here in Richmond, Virginia from any of the three stores you mentioned. K-Mart would most definitely be the least (...) (23 years ago, 14-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Racers on sale at WalMart

(...) Yes, this is a national thing. I've been keeping it on the down low while I cleaned out all my local WalMarts of this deal. The usable parts are the front and back of the racer and, to a lesser degree, the racer him(?)self. Anyone who wishes (...) (23 years ago, 14-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Racers on sale at WalMart

One WalMart I was at yesterday, had their entire pile of Lego Racers (small boxes, ~9 pcs) marked down to $1. This happened to be a smaller WalMart, so I'm not sure if this is on sale everywhere. Out of curiosity, I bought one and looked at it. No (...) (23 years ago, 13-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  about Target

I've scored some pretty good hauls lately at Target, nothing more than 50% off, but something happened last night I want to mention ... Scene: /me standing in the doorway of a Target looking at my truck about 150 ft away. Seperated from the truck by (...) (23 years ago, 13-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Lego Grab Bags

(...) Has anybody else ordered this? I just looked at my catalog and there's no guarantee what your surprises will be. All you know is that you'll get a key chain and three small sets. I was gonna get this for the Ninja minifigs but if there's no (...) (23 years ago, 13-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Shopko or Fred Meyers sales?

These two stores usually give me my greatest finds but I have not found ANY real clearance of Lego sets this year. Has anyone else found some bargains at these stores? Rose (23 years ago, 13-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Shopping Research!

Hello All, I've spent the past three consecutive nights sweeping through about 25+ stores and wanted to let everyone know what to expect.   Re: discounts are great but.....

(...) Your tip for buying the train set is a useful one-- in fact it has already been suggested. There are lots of subtle considerations to be made when LEGO shopping. Some of us have developed it to an art, and we like to share our findings with (...) (23 years ago, 13-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Girl themes (Was Re: What themes have been most universally discounted?)

(...) Sometimes themes languish on store shelves not because they are bad themes but because there isn't much of a market for them. The "girl themes" fall into this category. In the early to mid 90's TRU carried three of the larger Paradisa sets, (...) (23 years ago, 13-Jan-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping)

What themes have been most universally discounted?

Hi all, I was just reviewing the last couple years of S@H specials and I started wondering about which lines were such bombs that they were almost always discounted. It takes time for even the worst sets to hit a discount, but after that which ones (...) (23 years ago, 13-Jan-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping)

To answer my own question before asking it: 3914: $3.99, 1 pc (keychain) 1097: $1.99, 17 pc 4805: $5.99, 26 pcs 3413: $4.99, 27 pcs Total retail: $16.96 Which is to say: 53% off.   Lego Grab Bags

I just received an order from Shop @ Home with a Lego Grab Bag. I got a Luke Skywalker/Rebel Pilot keychain (3914), a Res-Q Runner (1097), Ninja Knights (4805) and Goal Keeper (3413). Not bad for 7.99. My Darth Vader keychain is looking pretty worn, (...) (23 years ago, 13-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)
