  Re: $40 Night Lord's Castle

(...) I went by the KB toyworks tonight to see if they had gotten any other shipments in and found the 6441 for $29.99(same as the kbkids website) There are 8 of those sets still there and the "buy 1 get 2nd half off" was still in effect but I had (...)   Re: FOTW!

(...) They've gone down again then! They were 19.99 at the Lougheed Mall Wal-Mart (Burnaby, near Vancouver) last week - but only there, haven't seen them at any others. I have been sending my Technic class kids down there to get themselves some <g>. (...) (25 years ago, 12-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.loc.ca)

(...) I have no idea. I'd happily split hairs with you on this but we've gone below the power of my scope to resolve, hairsizewise... :-) (25 years ago, 12-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: Blue Hopper Car Mania...

(...) Just nitpicking here but the amount the retailer nets as profit may be slightly more, or slightly less. It depends on a number of factors such as what the cost to take an order is, the cost to fulfill an order, how much less one box costs than (...)   FOTW!

I got a 8277 Giant Model Set for $18.97 (CAD) at my local Walmart last night. bounced through a few more Walmarts today, but didn't see any more of the 8277s. But Walmart Canada tends to do sales across the board, so you might want to check your (...) (25 years ago, 12-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.loc.ca)

Larry Pieniazek <lar@voyager.net> wrote: (sorry for not removing .uk before now) (...) I agree. I just see the end result as being no different than if I had one shipped to work. But that's the funny thing about morals - we bend ourselves around (...) (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: Blue Hopper Car Mania...

(...) Wow, thanks. (...) You're certainly right about that. (...) Well, I think that's debatable in general, and ridiculous with respect to me and my household. I haven't paid full price for any of the 50 or so DVDs I own. Heck, I haven't paid half (...) (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

(Cross-posting to lugnet.market.shopping; I believe it's applicable there too.) (...) Thanks for the info!   Re: Blue Hopper Car Mania...

The fact that a rule is stupid or even that it costs the company sales when it is adhered to is irrelevant. If the company promulgates a rule and makes it a part of the implied contract between you and they, you are bound to abide by it or be in (...) Folks, I don't think this belongs in loc.uk any more. On Thu, 11 Nov 1999, Jasper Janssen (<383bacc7.242438643...gnet.com>) wrote at 11:50:50 (...) (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

(...) You know, he's saying exactly the same thing I thought, and then figured you'd be smart enough to infer from the smart-arse reply. Guess not. I'll explain more fully: You don't have _any_ right to a _promotion_ cheap DVD, other than what the (...)   Re: Lego close-out sale at Tuesday Morning

(...) TM's ads state at the top of every page: "Know the quality, appreciate the value" Then list a percentage off range-in this case 50% to 83% off Which is the range of percentage off for all items show on the page. The LEGO sets are 50% off (...) (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Blue Hopper Car Mania...

(...) Nah, I don't see it being any different. It's a stupid rule either way. The fact that my wife and I are married makes us no less separate consumers than Bob and his roommate Phil. A stupid rule, but one I choose to accept, mostly. (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: Blue Hopper Car Mania...

Ok, I THINK you're responding to something else I wrote above that, maybe me saying Rachael and I could use our different work addresses as shipping addresses to get around a one per household deal.   Re: Blue Hopper Car Mania...

Shopko has all star wars on sale

The ad in today's paper didn't state the percent off, it's usually 15-20%. So if you are after the snow speeder for the 2000 catalog you may want to save a buck or two at Shopko. Sale runs today through November 13. Rose (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)
