Uhm, YES, it is off-topic for this group, and you are out on a limb.
Please re-read the Terms of Use for this site, which you agreed to when
you signed up, and which state that auction announcements and updates are
only appropriate in groups that explicitly welcome them (i.e., the .market
.auction group only -- an no others).
If you continue to disregard the posting rules, I'm afraid that your posting
privileges are likely to be suspended.

That really doesn't make it OK. Furthermore, anyone who cares will already
know about your auction from reading the .auction group.
Everyone, please help keep this group auction-free. The auction group is
right next-door.
