Well can you paraphrase it??? We can always use a good chuckle.
But you were right Larry, Ebay did indeed tell me to cease my communications
with bidders on such auctions.  Of course, I am outraged by the fact that
they'd rather just get their share of the outcome than TRULY police the
garbage sold through their auctions -- but whatever.  I can add that bit to
an increasingly long list of why eBay sucks!  Geez, I am not exactly the
most ethically obsessed person in the world -- but eBay could certainly do
more than they currently do.  I am guessing that they don't actually care
what is sold at auction on their site as long as it does not generate bad
publicity or PR.

Well, if you aren't particularly ethically obsessed, you can always setup a
throw-away e-mail account at yahoo or hotmail, and use that instead of your
"real" e-mail address.  Nothing for eBay to threaten.

(...) Key points were: Set 10000 is identical to set 6067 [Which we know is not exactly correct.] AND... I make no attempt to suggest that this is the original set. [in which case, he could have fooled me for the various ways he clearly attempts to (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jul-01, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)
