have never had that particular problem, but did have a sittuation where I
recieved a money order in USDollars, drawn on a foreign bank. my bank refused
to cash it. but walked into another bank and they cashed it without a problem
or a fee. The only thing I can think of is that maybe the seller isnt aware
that the money order is from a US bank in USdollars. but no bank should ever
charge a fee for cashing a money order of the type you are describing. if it
continues to be a problem Id recomend going with an escrow service like I-
escrow (www.iescrow.com) it would allow you to pay via Visa, or any other
method youd like, and the seller could collect it however theyd like. the
Escrow service will have a fee, but it should less than the extra $15 that is
being tacked on, and will increase the security of your transaction.
just my ideas.
