Re: Yet another CLUELESS about MIB

I had some offline discussion with Mike P. about this and I think my opinion on this small controversy hasn't been stated clearly. I am going to go out on a limb and say that there are a lot of eBay sellers who misuse descriptions and in general do (...) (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: Yet another CLUELESS about MIB

(...) When a set is bought from a store, there is a strong expectation that the set is complete. Completeness is part of the 'as if new' condition. I realize there are a certain percentage of sets which leave the factory with missing, wrong, or (...) (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: Yet another CLUELESS about MIB

(...) Nope, no issues with your labels. But that's at least partly because I know you, and I trust your judge when you say something is worthy to be described as Mint (with any appropriate modifiers). One more point: when dealing with toys, (...) (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

(...) of a (...) My brother's explanation is correct. I'd just add that in Italy the small, traditional toy shops NEVER do clearance sales. So they sometimes happen to have some very old stuff in their stock. Things will change in the future: the (...) (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: FT: Classic Castle minifigs Update #1

I would think that LEGO fans of your calibre would have already thought of, say a yellow 2x2 plate, then a red one, a green one, another red one, and another yellow one making a pretty passable label. (...) (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: #395 Rolls Royce MIB on eBay

(...) Thats the same thing I was wondering. Ever notice that almost every auction of an old MIB LEGO set on eBay is from Italy? Last time I was an Italy, all I bought was a 6581 Dig 'N Dump (hey, you can't leave anywhere without LEGO). I'm going (...) (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

MAN, is THAT ever going to go for some big bucks! Guilio - fess up, HOW are you guys in Italy finding all this stuff all of a sudden? The "Italy Group" has only been selling them for the last couple months from what I have seen. Sounds to me like (...) (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: Yet another CLUELESS about MIB

I'd agree with this wrap up... many eBay sellers are grossly misrepresenting stuff. They're so far off the mark that it doesn't really matter which of us is right exactly about what MIB means, it's not even close to what they say. HOWEVER, I as you (...)
