Re: Port Brique on the Move!

(...) Well, there's a partial rebuild of the Misérable planned: stern design has been moved forward (mostly by you!) in leaps and bounds since the Mis was put together. I do have a whole BSB with a spare centre section and mast standing by for the (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.pirates, FTX)

Re: Target Toy Sale Catalogue is out now (some things really amuse me)

<snip> (...) Yep. about $25 for a little Blurple bus (And I really do want it...) This is based on targets "sale" price of $139, compared to BigW's sale price of $114 (which is still running) , same goes for the bundeled Spiderman sets. the bucket (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Target Toy Sale Catalogue is out now

Hi folks, As Jonathan said, some good deals at TRU: 4101 $30; 4403 $50; 3615 $40; 7194 $80 among others... (I might say that TRU's schizoid pricing and poor store layout make it less and less attractive to visit.) Nothing too special at Target (HP (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Re: Target Toy Sale Catalogue is out now

(...) I was in the city TRU yesterday (monday) and they had Tie Bombers, Hailfire Droids, the large red helicoptor thingo and some other stuff on clearence (forget what) Nothing noteworthy (unless the passenger train or the train station come down (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Target Toy Sale Catalogue is out now (some things really amuse me)

(...) 'Tis interesting that you bring that up... When that bundle first showed up on the shelves in Target Hobart about 10 days ago the shelf tag very clearly said $101.xx. I remember that quite clearly because I thought it was such an odd amount! (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Target Toy Sale Catalogue is out now (some things really amuse me)

(...) Do LEGO make their own tubs ? It's the same colour scheme as another tub from a few years back. Maybe the combo will be $10 more expensive for the sale ;^) Interesting to see that MB get a whole page and LEGO shares their page with Magnetix (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Read Sales in the Subset

(...) Additional to that, with the 2x4 version, you can lock it down much more securely by building over the plated ends. A (20 years ago, 20-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Re: Read Sales in the Subset

(...) Well, it'll be affected by the fact that the 2x2 version has considerably different internal geometry than the 2x4 version, but the 2x4 version has much more sturdy geometry than you'll find inside either a 2x4 brick or plate. It's built like (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Re: Target Toy Sale Catalogue is out now (some things really amuse me)

(...) Heh, ya not wrong! I thought it was rather funny after looking at the catalog that I scanned the bundle pack with the bonus tub thingy (which isn't even LEGO) and it scanned at $89.95 or there abouts.. (.99 or .95)... and in the catalog they (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Target Toy Sale Catalogue is out now

(...) I was quite disappointed, Kmart was definitely the better sale, not just for Lego but all up. Incidentally, I missed the Bionicles, they're tucked away on the back page (so that would be (URL) I think). BTW the Kmart sale has been extended (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Target Toy Sale Catalogue is out now

(...) Thanks for the link! Not quite as cool as last year's... I need to make some cpp calculations (and maybe read a review of HC2). Cheers Richie Dulin (20 years ago, 20-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Read Sales in the Subset

(...) Does it? Sure it grips twice as many studs, but does that mean twice the gripping power? Even if double the studs mean double the grip, the piece adds more height, which gives better leverage for getting the piece off whatever it's attached to (...)   Port Brique on the Move!

People who follow news of Port Brique ('news' you ask... more often it's excuses), will recall that not much has been happened in Port Brique for a while (except for a couple of SNOT sloops a couple of weeks ago). You may recall one of the reasons (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.pirates, FTX)

Re: was set 8252 ever available in australia?

(...) Can't say that i remember seeing it in shops, but it was shown at the bottom left of page 49 in the 2000 Aus catalogue 4323069 AUS Strangely enough it isn't listed as new, but wasn't shown in the 1999 catalogue either... I can see if it was in (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)
