  Re: Pictures request.

(...) I'm headed to LegoLand California this weekend, and would be happy to take some pictures. ¿Where do I find the Griffith Observatory? ¿Miniland? (23 years ago, 24-Apr-02, to lugnet.legoland.california)

  Re: OT: Slightly: Hotel recommendations

(...) Hi Lawrence - My family (wife, 8 and 5 year old boys) and I stayed at the Ramada Inn and Suites Carlsbad when we visited last year. I'd stay there again, and it has some, but not all, of the preferences you're looking for. It's been renovated (...) (23 years ago, 11-Apr-02, to lugnet.legoland.california)

  Re: OT: Slightly: Hotel recommendations

Lawrence, I stayed at the Residence Inn in Carlsbad in April of 2001. I was with my family, including 2 boys ages 7 and 9, and I was pretty happy with this location. The hotel is only a few years old, all the rooms are suites and have kitchens, and (...) (23 years ago, 11-Apr-02, to lugnet.legoland.california)

  Re: OT: Slightly: Hotel recommendations

(...) If money is no object, the Grand Palisades is nice. I didn't go in any of the rooms though. But it is walking distance to the park - just across the street. A more economical route (and I *did* stay there) is the nearby Motel 6. There's one (...) (23 years ago, 11-Apr-02, to lugnet.legoland.california)

Hi all, I was down at the park last weekend, and for you fans of collector cups there is one new addition that I thought was very cute. There are now new coffee travel mugs available at the coffee stands. From a distance they look like (...) (23 years ago, 6-Mar-02, to lugnet.legoland.california)

Re: Ever notice this at LLCA?

(...) Update: February 2002... The Master Builder at BricksWest said it was because the people in Denmark have a weird sense of humor, and they thought it would be funny. But they've gotten so many questions about it, they're planning to change it (...) (23 years ago, 1-Mar-02, to lugnet.legoland.california, lugnet.legoland.windsor)

Re: Estimated visit duration for 2 adults?

I'll add a few more things. Note that LL CA isn't open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays until the summer. They just started this in Jan (they aren't getting enough business on those two days). That said, I recommend going on a weekday, preferably (...) (23 years ago, 6-Feb-02, to lugnet.legoland.california)

Re: Estimated visit duration for 2 adults?

(...) Greg has some good suggestions, to which I'll add another perspective. (...) If your wife isn't into Lego you'd be pushing it to go for more than a day unless you drop her off somewhere the second day and go yourself. I say this having visited (...)   Re: Estimated visit duration for 2 adults?

(...) Short Answer: At LEAST the full day. Long Answer: The real question is how big of a LEGO fan are you and what is your (and perhaps more importantly your wife's) limit for staring at the most amazing LEGO creations you've ever seen. Literally (...) (23 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.legoland.california)

Estimated visit duration for 2 adults?

My wife and I are planning to visit LL California while traveling in Southern California in April. I was wondering how much time we should allow for our visit, especially since we don't have children and probably will not go on many of the rides. (...)   Legoland will be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

I just received a letter in the mail today announcing that LEGOLAND will not open their doors on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the spring and fall this year. Starting January 15th, and going until May 22, with only the last week of March, and first (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.general, lugnet.legoland.california)

Legoland CA + New Years Eve = FLOP

Just got back from Legoland's New years celebration, and as I wait for the wife to get ready for our next party I will give a summary on the events there. Basically, it was a flop, and a very big flop. It was set-up ok, nothing real special. There (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jan-02, to lugnet.legoland.california)

  Re: Went to LLC 12/30/01

(...) The 20% anything over $10 is now over. You as a passholder can still get 10% off non-toy items (books, shirts, etc) if it is a toy, no discount. Tom (23 years ago, 1-Jan-02, to lugnet.legoland.california)

  Re: Went to LLC 12/30/01

(...) What did you mean by the above comment? I thought part of the deal for the Primo pass was 20% off on merchandise? If that is gone now, then that would really be sad. We just got our Primo passes two weeks ago... By the way, was that you I was (...) (23 years ago, 31-Dec-01, to lugnet.legoland.california)

  Re: Went to LLC 12/30/01

(...) Oops! Should have put a bunch of smileys in that comment about Brad. Just meant it as a joke that he should be swimming in free Lego. Jimmy (23 years ago, 31-Dec-01, to lugnet.legoland.california)
